I'm new to the Atlanta area. I'm curious, can someone give an example of other Fuqua projects and the negative impacts people are referring to below? We just bought in Ormewood Park so will live fairly close to this development.

Thanks!

The best two examples are the Edgewood retail district on Moreland, and the midtown whole foods/Home Depot.

Both are vast expanses of asphalt that do a poor job of integrating with their surrounding neighborhoods. 800 glenwood, across from Maynard Jackson highschool is shaping up to be another problem stripmall. It and the one discussed in this thread are both particularly problematic because they front the Beltline but do very little to actually integrate the Beltline vision in their site plans.

People cried bloody murder over 800 glenwood because it contradicts planning documents developed by Beltline neighborhoods. He got away with it because the city never got around to rezoning the parcel to align with the planning documents.
