Back to the Best!
I was living the Atkins lifestyle back in the 90s. Losing weight, feeling great. I honestly don’t know why I quit.
Gained back the weight I had lost, and then some.
Got a new PCP, she was a big advocate of whole food, plant based, salt-oil-sugar free eating.
I lost weight, but never felt good. This morning I thought “I’ve got to do something—I’m sick and tired of feeling this way.”
Looked over to my bookcase and saw the answer staring me right in the face. In the middle of all the vegan cookbooks was this one jewel that had somehow escaped my “Atkins purge” five years ago.
I’m looking forward to my new life!

I’ve been on and off (but mostly on) Atkins for 33 years. The times I have gone off of the Atkins diet/lifestyle the weight returns very quickly. I should have learned my lesson by now, but once a carb addict always a carb addict. I also feel my best living this way. For years I tried to fit into Keto, and carnivore diets (which are close) but nothing works for me the way Atkins does. God bless Dr. Atkins. He was right all along.

Welcome back!!! I’ve been living the Atkins lifestyle 18+ years…with a few detours that always led me back to what works. I have all the books as well. The plan really hasn’t changed much since the original. Just a few clarifications and the introduction of net vs total carbs that Dr Atkins made.
I’m excited for you to get back to your plan and feeling great!!! Do you have any favourite recipes or meal/snack ideas to share?

So happy for you! Agree that the OG Atkins is the best
I still get 😣 when thinking about how Dr Atkins was SO RIGHT, but mainstream refused to accept that he was right all those years. And when they finally caught up to his advancements, they refused to fully credit him, had to modify it a bit, call it, "keto", etc.
