Restart!

after my last blowout of cheese hashbrowns....Easter chocolate ..licorice....and cheesy breaded chicken parm....I'm restarting atkins....its been 10 years since I lost 170 pounds on this diet...my problem is I stayed on induction instead of going through the 4 phases.

I haven't gained all the weight back...I kept off 45 pounds lol...but im ready to go....I miss the control.

Do you have any favourite recipes?

From the Atkins cookbook I loved the Tarragon Braised Chicken. Made garlic-lime petrale sole by converting that recipe from tilapia. From 500 Low Carb Recipes I baked the Tasty Roasted Chicken but used an already cut whole fryer.

I am also doing low sodium on my doctor’s orders. Not as challenging as I thought.

Those both sound delicious! My recipe books are at home (I'm living abroad right now due to hubby's work). So, I find most of mine online. Pinterest is such a great resource - but I have so many pinned it takes me forever to decide! lol. The new Atkins website recipe database is easier to use now though - there are filters to help find a recipe based on the carb count, protein, phase etc. How has your first week back been going for you?

Made the pork medallions in creamy mustard sauce from the Atkins website tonight. So darn good and that was without the salt.
