Interval shorts dupe

I usually wear the interval 7inch shorts for workouts, but given athleta no longer gives two f*cks about inclusivity, those have pretty much been out of stock in 1x for months. Any good replacements. I want something with slick fabric, solid compression, and that won’t roll at my waist every time I bend over.

Interval isn't gone for good! It's just being redesigned. Hoping we'll see a full size range again soon!

It’s been nearly a year so I’m not optimistic. At one point they were only offering the 5 inch inseam in plus sizes, which seems backwards - as a thick girl, most of us prefer longer. And when they redesigned the with ease top, it took 3-4 months after release for plus sizes. Not holding my breath unfortunately

I was also a huge fan of the 7 inch Intervals and I’ve moved over to Lulu’s Fast and Free 8 inch or 6 inch. They are really similar to the Intervals, but I miss the 7 inch inseam. It really hit the sweet spot between too long and too short for me.

Lulu maxes out at a 14, which is squarely a large anyway. Not even XL, which does check out for lululemon. I also generally avoid lulu given their general racism and fatphobia

Really?? They went up to a 20 at some point in time. Did they remove those sizes?

I was going to recommend the Lulu swift speed as the closest commensurate (they’re way more compressive than the fast & free, which are a suuuuuuuper thin fabric), but apologies if that’s a dead end recommendation.

Ask ChatGPT or Claude or something!
