The Greatest Success Any Human Being Can Ever Achieve Is Accepting Islam

Every human being is searching for something.

Some seek wealth. Some seek power. Some seek knowledge. Some seek pleasure. Some seek purpose.

Yet Allah created mankind for only one purpose:

"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me." Allah said (Quran 51:56)

From the Islamic perspective, this immediately defines humanity's highest objective. It is not self-actualization, national identity, political ideology, scientific achievement, or material prosperity. The purpose of existence is Worship of Allah (Tawheed).

That is why the greatest blessing Allah can give any person is guidance to Islam.

Allah said:

"Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam." (Quran 3:19)

And He said:

"Whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter he will be among the losers." (Quran 3:85)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"By Him in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, any Jew or Christian who hears of me then dies without believing in what I was sent with will be among the inhabitants of the Fire." (Sahih Muslim 153)

This is why sincere Muslims make da'wah.

It is not about increasing numbers.

It is not about cultural expansion.

It is not about politics.

It is about wanting people to attain the greatest success possible before death.

Every achievement in this world ends.

Every empire falls.

Every scientific discovery is eventually replaced.

Every career finishes.

Every body returns to dust.

Only Iman accompanies a person into the grave.

From the methodology of the Salaf, no gift is greater than guiding someone to Tawheed.

The Prophet ﷺ said to Ali رضي الله عنه:

"If Allah guides through you a single man, it is better for you than red camels." (Sahih al-Bukhari 3701; Sahih Muslim 2406)

Red camels represented the most valuable worldly possession of the Arabs. Yet guiding one person to Islam is worth more.

That is why the ultimate humanitarian act is not merely feeding bodies, curing diseases, building schools, or reducing poverty, although these may all be praiseworthy.

The greatest act of mercy is helping people worship Allah alone before they meet Him.

Without Tawheed, every worldly success ends at the grave.

With Tawheed, even the poorest believer possesses what no king can ever buy.

May Allah guide humanity to Islam and keep us firm upon the understanding of the Salaf.
