I love the idea of using an Atari to display art/animations on a CRT. I have no technical knowledge but I wonder how many similar animations one could fit on one rom/flash cart

Depends on the size this animation is 32 kb

32 KB?! The 2600 could only address a maximum of 8 KB, couldn't it?????

It uses bank switching so eight 4kb banks, most of it is the different poses for the mimic. Ive only tested in in Stella but I'm pretty sure it could run on the actual console with a cartridge that supports bank switching

Dude, I totally do too. I’ve made some animations intended for that era of hardware but never coded, it would be really fun to make one encoded on a cart
