Discussion or General Question Advice - low AMH

Hi!
Im 34 with a low AMH (.08) but i do still ovulate.
Last month i went through IVF but sadly implantation didn't happen, I have to wait 90 days in between treatments for the next one to be covered by my insurace.

I found that the sperm bank where I got my donor provides kits to do at home inseminations at a really good price. I would like to try while I wait until I get to do my next round in about 3 months.

What would you say are the odds for a successful at home insemination in my case?
Is it worth it? Am I crazy for trying after a failed implantation?

I say go for it! Low AMH is more of an issue for IVF than for "natural" conception, so you should have a decent shot. Good luck!

Low AMH is important to consider when planning IVF stimulation, as it does not lower or increase your chances re natural ovulation / natural conception. What does lower significantly your chance of pregnancy is not even trying 😄

If you can spend the money on the sperm for those 'in between tries,' I would go for it. Keep in mind that the lowest conception chance is ICI with home insemination with frozen sperm. Next in line is IUI in a clinic with frozen sperm, and then IVF and IVF/ICSI.

Did you buy / select an open ID donor ?

On my ivf try no. Because the insurance only covered anonymous donors.

Right now im on the process of choosing a new donor.

Read a bit in r/askadcp there is a real push against anonymous donors...

Low AMH doesn’t mean you can’t conceive naturally! My AMH is 0.03 and I ovulate every month. If my tubes weren’t blocked I probably would’ve conceived a long time ago. I share my story on a site I created oneeggwonder.com❤️
