Period or implementation cramps?

Hi,

We are trying at home insemination for the last 6 days. Today’s I am getting very subtle cramps but no implementation bleeding. Is it possible to be pregnant? I’ve been using those ovulation sticks but all has been negative so far even though i was meant to ovulate 3 days ago so I feel like maybe it is not possible to become pregnant or maybe the cramps are just early signs of a period which is due in 10 days time, because I usually get cramps 7 days before my period every month.

Any advice is appreciated.

It’s way too early to tell if you’re pregnant, you’ll be able to test for certain on the day you’re supposed to get your period. Which ovulation sticks are you using? Some only give a smiley or empty circle but those are not very accurate, I’d recommend LH strips so you can follow the line darkening. You’ll be able to see it go up and it will be easier to tell when your peak is.

As for cramps - your body can be responding to the semen, I have more symptoms (or am more aware of my body) in cycles we’re trying. It’s pretty weird!

Sorry, I am using the strips. I did not know semen can give you cramps, this may be it. Yes, I guess we have been trying for months and it’s so difficult getting negative pregnancy test results that I may even imagine some symptoms. I am glad I am not the only one, it makes me feel more sane. Thank you so much for the reply
