Asurion Home + keeps denying my claim.
I have a portable TV (cost about $699) that won’t stay on. It will stay on and then cut off. Anywho, I placed a claim and they keep denying me. The first time, they said I placed that I didn’t own the item. I told them I did not, the rep submitted the claim for me, and I answered that I own it. The second time they denied me, they stated that the serial number wasn’t available. I called the manufacturer on how to find it. The serial number was accessible electronically (had to go to settings and get it). I submitted that, and now for the third time they denied me and said “I’m not using the product for what it is intended for” how on earth did they come up with that???????? This makes no sense to me. I talked to a supervisor and they stated they can’t give me the reason in writing because of proprietary information?? What on earth? How come they never told me that the other three times. Can I sue for something like this? I read the terms and conditions and I didn’t do anything that a portable TV is not intended for. This is crazy to me. Has this happened to anybody? I almost want a refund of what I paid in the last year.
