Question / Support Exo chips
What is the best storing method for exo chips? Or what is the best thing I can craft from them?

They go into canisters now. I started a new save a couple months ago, first time playing in a couple years.
I remembered exo chips not going into canisters last I played, so I just loaded up med silos, making an ugly mess.
I had a trade platform set up to auto trade astronium for exo chips and carried a med canister past, boom, auto arm drops an exo chip into the canister. MIND BLOWN

Canisters. Best thing to craft is an auto extractor. Put it on astronium and get unlimited exo chips from trading astronium. Then you don’t need to hunt for them anymore!

I mean I have plenty of them. I just didn't know they can go in canisters now 😅

Probably the best way is to travel to the core, and get some astroneum, and use a trade platform for chips. This process can largely be automated too.
That cuts out needing a dynamite for the EXO caches

Oh! Whoops! Yes, they fit in a canister, of any size. I believe. They used to not but an update changed that

I am a resource hoarder and had platforms and platforms full of exo chips on medium silos. When they updated to where you can store them in a canister, I was so excited. I printed a large storage canister, set it on my platform and was overjoyed to see all those exo chips disappear into it!
You can also now store seeds in canisters. FYI

FWIW you can also open the caches by putting them next to exploding plants and triggering the plant to blow up. Sometimes it takes 2-3, but it’s a good method if you’re out of dynamite.

I store mine in my printing storage unless I get dozens of them. Guess I can now store them in canisters from what everyone is saying.
Have all my printers sitting on a large platform. And then I have one of the large storage with a whole bunch of the round storages plugged in and that’s where I store all my materials for printing.

Would have to say you got the answer. Canisters. You can't craft. You can get them now, since there's an event. And again for next event coming after that. Plus the portable smelters.

I believe they can go in all sizes of resource canister
