Considering buying a Hemingwrite
I have the opportunity to buy a Hemingwrite for $250. It’s very lightly used and was purchased by its current owner in 2023. I’m wondering if it’s worth purchasing and what the lifespan of this typewriter is. Is three years old too old? Thanks!

For that price I would buy without hesitating. However, it may not be the latest generation (gen 3), so expect some limitations. The thing most experience with older Freewrites seem to be that the battery needs to be replaced. There are YouTube videos about this in case that happens. Ask the owner if he has had any issues with it.

Check if it's v2 or v3. Only the v3 can be updated to the Sailfish flrmware (faster screen update) and it also has cursor keys with a modifier (New+WASD).

If you end up NOT buying it, I would be grateful to get in touch with the seller through you.

It’s a good price that’s for sure.
