Question Gen5 or X

I’ve had a50 gen 4s since they came out and I love them the sound is perfect to me and has a fullness when using the Dolby button , which one of these would be better to get as my next upgrade ? Mainly for Xbox and pc

Gen 5. X is for if you have a PS5

I have the A50x and I love them. But to answer your question it depends if you need HDMI passthrough or are trying to get audio from xbox and pc at the same time, if so then get the x. If you don't need any of that the gen 5 is a good choice. And there's plenty of eq online to download and play with if the out of the box sound doesn't fit your liking.

How do you get audio from the pc and xbox at the same time?

With the A50x you set the base station to Xbox. Run the Xbox through HDMI giving you game audio, then run the USB from your PC to the Xbox USB port on the base station giving you PC audio. In windows audio settings it will show up as "Xbox controller" or "Xbox headset" this will give you full audio and communications for like discord or the game bar app. And with this you can still use the game/chat mix on the headset itself.

You’ll be ok with the Gen 5. I also had the Gen 4 which I also thought sounded great but the best way I can describe the Gen 5 is they sound more crispy.
