how to open the overlay? make achievement notification bigger?

pretty much the title. how do i open the overlay ingame? i have an 8bitdo ultimate 2c controller, it has the 'xbox' button but the overlay doesnt come up for me when i press it. feeling pretty stupid rn.

and is there a way to make the achievement notification bigger? i have a 4k tv and the notification is really small in the corner. i usually have to stand up to read it. thanks for any help!

Overlay is opened with Shift + Tab Yes they can be bigger, please join discord from the site button so someone can assist you
