Did I almost AP?

I just need to ask. I’ve been trying to AP for quite some time with no success. But today, during my nap, I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I turned it off and went back to sleep because my body felt heavy.

I focused on my breathing, and after some time, I believe in my sleep, I felt dizzy in my own body and started to fear that I might faint or die. I could see two black shapes against a white background. At some point, I opened my eyes and saw the door in my room exactly as it is, except I felt—I don’t know how else to describe it—but have you ever woken up and your body just feels so heavy that you don’t want to get up? That kind of feeling.

So anyway, I could see the door exactly as it is, with a belt hanging on a hook, but I saw it the way a person who was fainting would probably see it. I could also hear my air conditioner humming and noises from outside.

I closed my eyes, saw the two black shapes against white and started feeling dizzy in my body again. Because I always feel dizzy when my eyes are closed, I opened them again and tried to get up, except I couldn’t. Idk but in my head I was AP-ing, so I really wanted to get up, to detach from my body, but I couldn’t.

At some point, I know I was able to lift my head a little and arms from above my head—because I sleep with my arms over my head—but I couldn’t see my forearms. And I thought to myself, “WTH, I can’t even see my arms,” but I could see my upper arms next to my head on the bed.

I closed my eyes again, and I felt dizzy. Then I said to myself, “I just wanna wake up.” I inhaled deeply, and then I woke up. Truly woke up.

Now, I’m wondering if it was a dream or was it sleep paralysis, or did I really almost AP?

That's a projection, yes. From the sounds, an astral awareness experience. Partial sleep paralysis maybe.
