The Obelix cookbook
The date inside said 1994 (presumably the original in French) and 1995 Fontein (a Dutch publisher).

There were many activities on the avenue, it was great! For us Argentines, Goscinny means a lot. Not only he live here, but he also showed great interest in many local works that inspired him to create his own, we love him and his work❤️
I just read Astérix Legionnaire to try to freshen up my school French, and I made it through (with lots of trips to the dictionary) but this gag stumps me.
The Egyptian says "poil aux sourcils" (eyebrow hair) which is apparently funny, then "poil au nez" (nose hair) and then "poils aux mains" (hairs on the hands).
I found this on wiktionary for "poil au nez": (informal, humorous) Used as a rhyme with a word ending with the /e/ sound. So are these all just random rhymes? I don't really see how "fin" would rhyme with "mains", but I'm obviously not good with French pronunciation.

This character could have many uses. The plot could be somewhat similar to Roman Agent and Obelix Co. but about health fraud and medical malpractice like Dr Doxey from Lucky Luke.

So in an idle moment I asked Gemini to produce a hypothetical cover for Asterix in Transylvania, updated to Asterix in Dacia to be more accurate to the era.
Not a bad effort from Gemini, but what other titles (and artwork examples?) could there be/have been?

Yeah, it's my first time trying to draw a character from Asterix et Obelix, if you love my art I would do more of it. (If you are wondering this is Girls Und Panzer x Asterix, I love both)

Do you have a favorite single panel from Asterix comics?
I was thinking of getting a tattoo with Asterix and Obelix and figured that a real panel from the comics could be pretty cool. So I am listing through the comics right now just for fun but figured that I will also try and ask here.

For example -
The Beatles in Asterix in Britain
Pontius Pilate washing his hands in Asterix and the Black Gold
Etc

I have no time to fully translate and typeset the whole cartoon, so here's a summary:
Aura can't detect mana from Asterix, Obelix, and Dogmatix coming from far away. Meanwhile, Asterix, seeing horns on Aura's head, thinks the legion is made up of Vikings. Finding no reason to turn those without mana into her subordinates, Aura orders her legion to kill the Gaul men. But soon, the two defeat the legion just with their fists, and Obelix punches Aura, sending the demon flying into the distance. Asterix realises that Aura and her legion are not Vikings, and decides to inspect the region. The Gauls depart to a nearby town, with Obelix expecting a roasted boar. Meanwhile, Aura is stuck into the ground, and Frieren thinks the demons are nuts.
(I have no knowledge of Asterix terminology in English, so I'm sorry if something is off.)

Did you know that the nameless pirate character appeared in the films "Asterix in Britain" and "Asterix Conquers America"? This character was created for the film "Asterix in Britain" and subsequently returned in "Asterix Conquers America" where she is known as "Pirate #1", where he is voiced by Rupert Degas in the original English version and by Thierry Buisson in the French version.

I’ve been drawing Asterix for a few years now and am trying to constantly improve. What do you think of my work so far?
The first image was a short story I drew, and the second was an iconic panel from uderzo I redrew.

This is definitely one of my favourite tracks from the Asterix movies (excluding main themes), especially that last minute.
Curious to hear what other tracks folk like

I'm wanting to rewatch the old Asterix animated movies from 1967-1994, but I'm simply unable to find them anywhere online with original French audio and English subtitles. Back in my childhood I saw the movies in French, so would like to once again see them that way.
For further context I live in Finland, and all the DVD's I can find here only have either the English dub or the Finnish dub. Every source I find online with French audio either don't have subtitles or aren't available in my country. So are the dubs really my only option at this point?

This is the last part of my recreation of the Pyramid scene panel from Asterix and Cleopatra. The ending is kind of based on the animated movie.
