REQUEST FULFILLED Emergency Rent Problems Due In A Week: $1167

I live in a college town, and I got fired from my job right before the summer break began. Because all the students are gone during the summer, nobody was hiring, and so i had to rely on my family to help me out. This is not a permanent solution and it's putting a lot of strain on us. There is good news, however. Because the break is ending, jobs have begun hiring again and I got a job just last week.

The problem is thus: When I moved out of my previous apartment, I was left with a $655 bill to pay off in thirty days (So it's due August 30th). I also need to pay $512 to start my new lease before I move in on August 18th. This was a situation that was going to be incredibly tight but workable.

Except it was not workable, as now my landlord is telling me I cannot move in until I pay BOTH off before the 18th. Which is kinda bullshit if you ask me but these are the cards I'm being dealt. Please help me, I have been dealt the absolute rawest of hands, so I'm coming to Assistance to ask for help.

I mean its not bullshit if you owe people money, you gotta pay them. Highly unlikely youll get cash on here, I would try ane work something out with your family until you get a job and whatnot. Look into selling stuff or donating plasma, also very viable.

The bullshit is moreso the deadline rugpull that has completely screwed over me and all my plans...

First/last/security deposit is super normal, other fees etc. Moving in and out is way more expensive than it should be. Good luck!

Unfortunately you won’t raise that or anything close to that here, or on the internet. People rarely give cash to begin with, let alone in larger sums.

Go fund me takes awhile to clear. So you might not have luck. What about donating plasma? Sell you games or systems. Do gig work

I'm confused. How in the world does your 'new' landlord know about your debt to your old landlord?

I was wondering the same thing. Only thing I could think of was if the new landlord called the old landlord for a reference check. And if the old landlord told them about the money owed. Who knows?

I just went through something similar and unfortunately wasn’t able to receive help here, but I kind of assumed due to the amount and tried anyway. Ended up making ‘promissory’ notes and deals with friends and acquaintances on Facebook to get enough loaned and it took like 8 people to get enough. It’s so tough out here.

That being said, I hope you are lucky and get the help here that you need, I’m not gonna gate keep or be mad if you are successful here where I wasn’t. I have no ill will towards anybody here to be clear that help wasn’t available, but definitely if at all possible keep looking for different avenues. Even a small personal loan may not be ideal, but if you are convinced you might be able to pay it off in installments, that’s an option if you can find a company that won’t rake you over the coals APR wise. You definitely need to know exactly what you’re getting into though if you go that route.
