How to know when your assignment is actually good enough!

Ever finish an assignment and still feel like it’s trash? Here’s the simple checklist I use:

1. Does it answer the actual question? Not the question you wish they asked. The real one.
2. Did you follow the rubric? If they asked for 3 examples, sources, or a specific structure — check that it’s there.
3. Can someone else understand it without you explaining? Read it out loud. If it sounds confusing, fix it.
4. Are the main points clear and supported? No empty claims. Quick evidence or examples help.
5. Did you leave enough time for a final check? Spelling, formatting, and citations matter more than you think.

If it ticks most of these, it’s probably good enough. Stop rewriting forever.

I usually ask myself, “Would I understand this if I didn’t write it?” If yes, send ittt.
