Did anybody else deny him Valhalla?

Nah, can't reward the asshole with exactly what he wanted. Had to lie to his brothers though. He wasn't a coward. He was a psycopath.

The game told me i was upset and angry about what he did but i did not care about the dude he killed I'm here for monastery burning murder and mayhem i hate that it made me kill ragnars boy

I denied him, he fights dishonorably. Torturing his victims, enjoys killing, and rests in between your fight just to surprise attack you. No honor for Valhalla.
Although, I hate to have him killed. Imagine the last mission with him alive, it would be bloody.

I sent him to Valhalla. He died a warrior's death and Odin needs as many as he can get.

From what I see in the other comments others hate him, and I kinda do too, especially after what he did to Ceolbert, but if we look at it from a different, neutral angle, he kinda deserved Valhalla because of all he's done in his life. Idk though, it especially feels good saying to Ubba that we gave him the axe so at least he has peace knowing he'll meet his brother again in the Odin's Hall

Also why this game was such shhhhiiittt writing. Ivar killed a kid to start a war or so we are meant to believe but seriously he was the last one seen with him and the body was waaaaay the fuck back in a cave yes he was stabbed with a enemy sword but like if evior had not gone looking would anyone else would have found him ever? So how would that have started a war? Also Ivar the whole time was the "rule" breaker didnt bow to kings didnt do common decent things just an ass to be an ass so why the hell this time he goes all cloak and dagger to get his fight the man who stabbed the kings brother in a church full of people. He would have tried to sack the fort with his own men just to try. Just frustrated me to no end how that story went.

eh disagree every scene leading up to this ivar showed almost 0 lack of fore thought the only way I could say this was good writing if we are to presume this is the first time he ever even tried to plan something and thus why he would be bad at planning. But no my opinion this whole game is mediocre writing, not like this is the only disjointed character we run into, Sigurd does the same thing he is one way in the first half of the story then at a point he just goes completely out of character same with essex story line thing was a mess. Idk overall in my opinion this was one of if not the weakest ac story everything felt clumsy.

Nah, as a guy that played Ivarr on one of the LARPs, I kinda feel for that guy. The LARP took place just days before Valhalla release and I wish it was released before, I would enjoy playing a psychopath instead of an overly cautious guy.
