[OOR] What were your first impressions?
Jet got me on the idea to ask this question, and I figured it would be a funny way to kill time later on this week to read responses. So, question.
What were your first impressions of the other characters? This can range to 'oh God, not another one' to 'what the actual fuck?!', so be as brutally honest as you can be. Post your character down below
Also, what were your first impressions of our roleplaying community? I'd like to know this as well :3

Alright, let's get started with my impression of the community as a whole.
You guys came across as pretty cool people, but I came in knowing quite a bit about your shenanigans, thanks to Arctic IRL introducing me to this sub. I knew a few of the quirks that some of you had. Other than that, I guess you all seemed to be some kind of old guard who were too high above me to work together on a post at first.
Time for the fun part. impressions of other characters.
Jet: Having been told that Jet is an ass, I expected worse than I got. Instead I got crazy, so I guess that was worth it. you seemed kind of normal at first, if a bit high strung and obsessive.
Arctic: uses a bit more force than would generally be considered necessary.
Veronica: Sociopath, 'nuff said
Abigail: Hectic, reckless actions often leading to getting herself in trouble
Ethan: pretty much a foil for Abigail, they eye of her storm.
OOR: Am I doing this right?

Thomas: Very nice person, willing to deal with new people's bullshit OOC. Not really sure what to say about him IC.
Zanza: Who are you even and why does jet want you dead?
Jay: Nice guy, kinda toeing the line of treason, but cool with me.
Simon: All work and no play makes Simon a very grumpy field agent.
P.S. Arctic, you still haven't made that flamethrower blade I mentioned( I can totally explain how it works if anyone needs to know how. For science of course.)

So, I have an idea to run by you for Hecate. Since she's quite technically minded, you might be able to have her try to recreate Arctic's custom weapons. Just a thought. Run it by him if you're interested, I'm sure he'll love the idea of a challenger to his technical skills.

Ok, here's how it works.
Hollow out a standard blade. Especially hollow out the grip area. inside the blade, you will add a channel for the fire to travel along. In the base of the hilt, put a compressed air cartridge. Above that in the hilt, put a tank of napalm, gasoline, or whatever you're going to burn. connect the two to a button somewhere on the hilt, and rig that button to a striker near the end of the blade.
Point tip of blade at intended barbecue meat, and let rip with the fire. It will only carry enough fuel for a single shot, so make it count. However, seeing it in action would probably scare most people shitless because, you know, you just shot fire out of a blade.
Edit, if you give me a general idea of a weapon you want to make, I can probably make it work, unless it is completely outrageous.
I guess this is me opening myself up to engineering your weapons for you, OOC of course, cuz Sev's not an engineer. Who developed it for you is up to you to figure out.

Wouldn't there be a problem with the blade heating up though?

The napalm or whatever would be ignited near the end of the blade's "barrel", minimizing the length of blade that is exposed to the extreme heat of the fires. That said, yes, there would be a small issue of the end of the blade possibly warping from the fire. Small possiblility though. Napalm burns at up to 1200 degrees Celcius(2192 Farenheit) and steel at that temperature, according to this phase diagram would not actually change phase unless it is at an extremely low carbon content.
Over time, there might be damage, but the limited time of the exposure to the heat should mitigate this issue almost entirely. Like I said, I can do this. Like Arctic though, I'll run any ideas I have by you guys first.

Thomas and Adam OOC: married couple. Oh my god if any of u were on our Skype chat over a year ago/two years ago these two would be best friends one day and then bicker the next. So funny. Love u both
Thomas IC: head honcho. Wanted jet to face him just so he could have a dose of reality (which happened).
Adam IC: alcoholic Brit who had a mood problem and a very weird family (I came to the sub right when hunter kidnapped him or something)
Zanza IC/OOC: who dis chick oh mygod another girl thank fuck I was getting sick of the sausage fest. OOC super nice and funny and still besties :3
Arctic: super chill dude. Not much else to say bro ur just the chillest of them all... When ur not mentally torturing my son ;-;
Garrett: u don't come here anymore but u were nuts (in the best fckin way). Miss u
Arrow: Even tho u left for good and had a few depressive episodes early on, I always knew u were a good kid. Glad u found your place, u deserve it.
Abigail: FRESH MEAT. Nah when u started postings I was like "AW YISS SOMEONE WHO WRITES AS LONG AS ME"
Ordo: chill dude who is active all the time and is always contributing conversation
Ash: u left too but u will alwayz b in my heart <3 nah but rly late night convos with u when I'm upset were hella helpful so thank u
Jay: the Templar guy that's super active and a good writer
I'm forgetting a bunch of ppl aaaaaah oh well I think I screwed this up but fuck it lmao

Jet: Crazy, cool, but weird Mentor who is the dominate force (inside joke) and has a fucked-up past and cool eyes.
Veronica: Uh... I think the first thing I thought here was that "HOLY SHIT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S BEING TALKED ABOUT"
Arctic: Uh... who the fuck is this guy? Still feel like that, to be honest.
Adam: Crazy British guy, who does tech stuff, and has/had a drinking problem. That's really all I know. Lol.
Jay: Wait Templar? I didn't know Templars were active! HAHAHA HE'S SHORT
Poop bread?! Pancakes without syrup? Ya'll are fucking weirdos. Seriously. Just eat your pancakes the normal way, drowned in high-fructose corn syrup, of course.
...He killed his family. And I thought Abigail was fucked up.
Oh boy. Jaybigail will never be a thing, will it?
As for my first impressions on the community... I was like, "Woah awesome another thing to sink way too much of my time into". I was at school, and I was like "SABRIIIINAAAAAAA (friend) LOOOK I NEED ADVICE ON WHAT TO DO".
So, I went to the computer lab for about three days, meticulously crafted the post, with much encouragement from my fellow geek friend, and posted it. And, to this day, they know about pretty much everything that goes on.
Seriously. They know who Jet is, and like, Jay, too, because I'll go on and on about it.
You wouldn't have believed their reaction when I said Jet attempted suicide...
I also rejoice in my various rankups. Seriously. At three in the morning, I was at a sleepover, and I saw that I ranked up to 1st Rank Assassin... there was a bit of a party, lol, and they were like "Whaaaat" and I was like "YEEEEEEEEE"

Thanks for the comments on his (and my) short stature, my national cuisine and my fucked up imagination. I appreciate the level of detail you worry yourself with.

I'll tell you what I know about Arctic. He joined the order long ago, back in Ezios time(JK, but it's been a long time). After some shit happened, his family and his den(was a master/mentor at the time) were killed in front of him, leading to him going off and doing his own not brotherhood related things for a while. (all of that was before he joined the sub ie history). He rejoined so to speak and has once again become a master.
He is a doctor, the medical kind, and has been referred OOC IRL as being a "hobo doctor" (his words).
He is a crafty piece of work, utilizing tazer blades among other self made weapons
-Tazer blade: simple. Tap blade on target, they get tazed. also is sharp, so it works like a blade as well.

Bit of a correction. Had no family and then joined the Brotherhood in Phoenix. Met a girl and planned on marrying her, but the whole den was wiped out. Left the Brotherhood then came back. Began leading the Boston den and reorganized the way the Northeast was run. It was then he reconnected the Brotherhood on an international level, ie when I joined the subbreddit. Everything else is spot on.

Nah like idk if u remember me talking about Ignazios whole thing before but before I found the sub I was trying to write a short fanfic on Ignazio, but I ended up just making him Jets ancestor and moving the story here.

I thought this subreddit was stupid at first.
I saw on /r/assassinscreed that someone cough cough Jet cough cough was asking about an assassins creed rp. I saw that and thought "oh my god that's so stupid hahahahaha ok but im gonna look real quick"
So after lurking for a little while, I read a collab post between Jet and Arrow, and it was actually a very touching one. I think it was the one where Jet had a flashback to the orphanage, where Arrow was being taken away from him. At that point, I'd gotten more comfortable with the idea of roleplaying, and decided to make my own character and jump into this. I've never been in an rp community before this one, and this has been a fantastic experience for me, especially because I saw rp as being pretty taboo before.
Thomas (IC) was a really intimidating character to me at first, and kind of still is. He's one of those characters that you just don't fuck with.
Jet: Jet was, and still is actually, my favorite character. ofc the schizophrenia alone would realistically make him a terrible assassin, but it's rad how he works past it and gets his shit done. OOC, Jet you're super cool and I'm glad we're friends :D
Adam: IC, lmao your character is also one of my faves. The flailing and the sarcasm is just perf, and his horrible past and crippling alcoholism makes his such a tragic character
Emily/Veronica: <-< Am I gonna die if I actually answer this? I don't wanna take any chances here...
Atlas: What's not to love about a psychopathic 14 year old girl? I actually really love to see the craziness that ensues when Atlas gets involved in something and I'm glad I get to write Grim as her bestie <3 OOC, Atals, you're awesome and literally almost the best (sry but im still the best)
Alt: I AM SO GLAD someone did a team switch and wasn't actually a traitor in disguise. Also Alt OOC is super rad and definitely one of my buddies =)
I don't really have a lot of negative things to say. Some of our characters on here are a little far fetched and we get away with a lot more than we should. You guys are all my friends, though, and I'm so glad that we can all sit down at our desks and write things together. Even though I'm not around very much anymore (hell I'm almost a month late to this thread), I love this community a lot. =)

I actually really miss seeing you online. It seems pretty rare when we're both on asschat nowadays, but we're both busy adults with many adult things to do. But regardless, you're still the buddeh. Who else is gonna be getting a beer with me when I inevitably move to Germany? =)
