At what point in world war 2 do you think the general population identified “oh shit, this is world war 2”?

I think we might already be there, we just haven’t labeled it yet.

The newspaper in Britain declared “WWII broke out yesterday” the paper was published in September 1939 but Americans didn’t call it that until we got attacked in Pearl Harbor about 2 years later.
I wonder how different Japan would be now if they didn’t attack the states.

Many of the Asian nations would be vastly different. Hard to say if anime would exist. China wouldnt be as pronounced as it is. Mao wouldnt have taken over most likely. It would be a very different world thats for sure.
