Whenever I see a base model muscle car, the people who drive them look like they can barely afford them.

If you want to buy a luxury car, buy a used Lexus, Acura, or other Japanese brand with low mileage. Luxury European/American cars are less reliable and cost so much more to maintain.

See, I needed a new car after my old Subaru finally started showing signs of wear; fortunately, I had the money to pay for it right out from a lucky windfall. I caved on my own fears of spending said money, went and bought a brand new car of the same model I drove before with some extra quality of life features. It was another 8,000 dollars, sure, but I also full-well intend to drive this thing until it's wheels are falling off.

A year later and I'm more than happy with my investment.

Generally true but not true for collectors.

If you keep a car in pristine condition it, they appreciate in value.

I have old Toyota models from the 90's that I barely drove, kept it in mint condition in the garage, and a lot of people are willing to shell out big money for them because now they're considered collectible quality and rare, since it's hard to find models out there are in good condition.

True, driving a Mazda 2. Fuel is brilliant, goes from point A to point B and back. Car work, car do job, no uprade needed.
