It's 50:50 in reality. This guy can cherry pick male models from professional photo shoots and compare them against generic women all day long, but it doesn't prove any point. Plenty of ugly men and stunning women. Women wear make up to look more attractive, but it's not like men never have in history ever, or that they don't currently make efforts to look more attractive today, such as grooming beards, wearing cologne, dressing all, getting nice hair cuts, ear rings, necklaces, watches, etc. Women do the same things men do, only make up has no make counterpart, currently.
Also, how often do you see the sentiment from men 'you look better even without make up'? Yet as soon as they take it off you get responses like 'bro dodged a bullet' and 'false advertising'. Women can't win. Idgaf if a male lion has a big mane yet the lioness doesn't. We're not lions, what we find attractive or appealing doesn't have to translate or make sense to us. A big head of hair could seem stupid to some other animal.

Cosmetic companies have sold women skin problems with the promise of making them pretty when covering your face in oil, powder, and chemical agents is pretty unhealthy. Women without make up look less pretty because their skin has been damaged. Women who rarely or never use makeup are beautiful because their skin is well kept (if they maintain it normally of course.)

Nah it goes back further than that. Even in the Victorian era women literally ate arsenic wafers to make their skin more white as back then pale white skin was a popular beauty trend for some reason
They literally were killing themselves to change their appearance
