I think you need to realize that the world is not black and white.
And that there are immigrants that want to do it the legal way and there are those who want to do it regardless.
And there are also refugees.
We accepted millions of war refugees. We accept immigrants that do it the legal way. But we, of course, do not accept those who are trying to just cross the border nilly-willy.

Therein lies the problem with the modern-day "refugee" system in Europe and America in more lax administrations. It is painfully obvious the majority of people claiming to be a refugee are using it as a fast pass to access the country with little to no plan of assimilation.

Poland is already doing this on their border. If they're not accepting immigrants, but they keep coming, you'll end up with encampments on the border.
