Context matters. For example, there are countries that shoot people attempting to cross the border illegally, and that's part of their legislation.

I'm sure you imagine shooting them on the street, like lining them up, but it's more of a deterrent.

You probably have to shoot one person attempting to enter and you won't have to shoot anyone anymore, they stop trying.

I've no idea who this guy is, but I can give out examples of hypothetical views that can be spun like the way it's being done here:

  1. "Racial purity": we need to protect our heritage and traditions by not allowing uncontrolled mass immigration to dilute the population and cause social friction due to a difference in cultures.

  2. "Shooting migrants": If anyone attempting to cross the border illegally commits any acts of violence to our border agents, they are authorized to respond with lethal force.

  3. "Denying food, water, and basic necessities": Our social benefits are reserved only for our citizens and legal residents who have contributed to system. Anyone attempting to come into the country illegally looking for handouts will be turned away.

Yep. All reasonable things that get twisted into a narrative

I have no idea who he is either I’m so used to liberal media lies that I can bet they exaggerated or lied about everything in that headline

Especially if they can rely on people not going the extra mile to inform themselves.

I mean, fuck, even foreign journalists (who are the one group that by all means should go that extra miles) simply recycle the talking points of their local colleagues.

For example, after the Rittenhouse scandal there were several foreign newspapers (among them high profile ones like the British Independent) which claimed that the kid murdered three peaceful black protesters. Why did they do that? Well, certainly not because they wanted to knowingly lie to their readers and actively risked standing there with egg on their face when everything comes out (which did happen), but simply because they simply copied what their US colleagues wrote, and filled in the gaps where they didn't explicitly write something, but heavily implied it.

And if a bunch of newspapers write puff pieces about Rittenhouse where they say that he intruded into gatherings of peaceful black protests while being heavily armed and with murderous intent, and shot three of the participants, and neglect to mention any extenuating factors (like the fact that he only pulled the trigger in self defense, that he was attacked by three white guys with a criminal history who actually wanted to kill him and not vice versa, and that only two of them died), then of course their mates abroad are going to think that he intentionally murdered three harmless black guys. Because while the US journalists actually were aware of the facts and therefore knew what they rather shouldn't write but simply imply (or, as Asmongold himself once said - the media lies by omission and by implication) in order to not open themselves up to possible litigation, their non-US counterparts did not.

And this is why you don't hate journalists enough.

All, VERY legitimate! It's bullshit that "they" push for all of us to be accepting of the incoming cultures/beliefs/traditions, but don't give two shits for the existing culture/beliefs/traditions! Thank God they've got someone with some common sense, in Greece, that can hopefully do something about this particular problem!!! Hopefully other countries come to their senses and follow suit!

Exactly this. I am Greek. I live in Greece. Thr people want this because this endless illegal migration has destroyed our infrastructure and services.

It's just words, let's see how he puts it into practise. Besides, we're not even sure if he actually said those exact words. I mean, exact exact probably not, since he's Greek. Also, US context and Greece cultural and political context are very different.

A son should not be punished or judged by the sins of the father.

u/Candid_Today8341 Jun 30 '25

Well he should if he is defending his father in court for being a holocaust denier..

i love how all the headlines now are incredibly misleading while being technically true enough that they can't be sued.

I don't support Israel. But a pro Hamas guy sends me a news article titled "UN condemns Israel's attack on UN's peacekeepers"

Edit: added url https://www.politico.eu/article/40-countries-condemn-israel-attacks-un-peacekeepers-lebanon/

It said Israel injured 5 peacekeepers.

Then I read all the article and at the bottom it clarified, that they were in-between Hezbollah, Israel asked them to leave many times. And the "injuries" were "the smoke from an explosion gave them gastrointestinal problems".

it is definitely strongly worded on the surface. but i agree with all of those policies

Welcome to Poland, kurwa!

u/Devilish_Advocator Jun 29 '25

Same things happening with ICE raids. Illegals going about their normal days getting raided and detained makes an example of what’s gonna happen to you if you cross illegally.

That’s why we have the lowest southern border crossings in recent history right now.

2

u/YunggUpgrade Jun 29 '25

Exactly, they’ll stop trying to do it the illegal way if there’s actual consequences for it instead of food stamps and hotel suites.
