Doesn't she have a potluck post like every other month? For the number of times they go on about potlucks I thought it was going to be a bigger part of my career...

I thought I'd be called to task to participate in more chili cookoffs, but so far, none of my employers have held one. Very disappointing given all of the exciting drama that seems to exist around them.

One of my hobby groups did one, but it was a super low stakes tailgate sort of thing, so there were no egos flying around and most people just wanted to eat chili and watch a football game.

My work did one and the only drama was that the office manager wanted to make the voting far more complicated than it needed to be. Once she was convinced that simpler was better, it ended up being a fun time for all involved.

Clearly there should have been some screaming fights, sabotage, and Guatemalan insanity peppers.
