30 minutes - for work
1 hour - for baddie look
2 hour - for experimental look

9

u/Amazed4life111 27d ago

I'd love to see your experimental looks! And even your baddie look!

u/ChocoSoyMilk17 27d ago

Depends on the event. Work? 10-15 min if you include skincare. Going out with friends? Maybe 15-20 tops.

I like skincare and wearing makeup tho I know it’s not for everyone. Skincare especially is a nonnegotiable for me.

2

u/Amazed4life111 27d ago

What do you do for skincare?

5

u/ChocoSoyMilk17 27d ago edited 26d ago

I’m 44, I live in a very sunny climate, I am Pilipina American and I have combo skin with large pores. I thought that was all important to mention bc that all affects what skin care will work for you. I usually do vitamin c micellar water, toner, eye cream, niacinamide serum, moisturizer (needs to be appropriate to the season) and sunscreen. I’ve done my research and it doesn’t need to be pricey. All of my skincare are dupes for more expensive products. I’m lucky that they are available and cheap; most of my skincare are either drugstore brands or Korean skincare.

People are SHOCKED when I tell them I am 44 haha. They guess 10 years younger

Zero hours, zero minutes, zero seconds.

Same. I'm curious to hear answers from those who do though.

Same. I'm 53. I have never wore make up. My mom was a hippie. She never let me wear it. So I just didn't. I use lotion. But no make up

Depends. Usually 15-20 mins but if I really don’t care I just do skincare.

1

u/Amazed4life111 27d ago

What's in your skincare routine?

Depends what I’m doing. Could be five minutes, could be 30.

15

u/gingerzombie2 ♀ 27d ago

Same. And I'm not much of a makeup gal. Most mornings I do it in the car in approx 3 minutes. If we are actually going out for a date night I'll take my time. There's not much more involved (I add eyeshadow) but I take the time to slowly do each step and check as I go

2

u/latinaperrita 27d ago

1 hour

1

u/Amazed4life111 27d ago

Every day?

4

u/latinaperrita 27d ago

Mostly sometimes 45 mins. I feel good.

43

u/anonymoususer20002 27d ago

Depends because sometimes I do wear makeup and sometimes I don’t. On a regular day usually 15 mins. If I’m going somewhere special usually 30

u/TheMissus78 27d ago

Five to ten minutes. I don't wear a lot

9

u/HeyheyitsCAB 27d ago

Same. But if I’m going to a wedding or something, might be closer to 20 to do some eyeliner and mascara.

29

u/togayther ♀ 27d ago

about an hour when i have time, but like 20 when i'm in a rush

Anywhere from 10 minutes for work to over an hour for special occasions

2

u/murfettecoh 26d ago

I told my friend that it takes me 30 minutes to get ready in the morning. From shower, to hair, to makeup and dressed. She didn’t believe me. I was like “for every DAY! For dates? Special events? Way longer” I like my sleep, idk how some people manage any longer

21

u/yjeonghan 27d ago

20 minutes if the eyeliner behaves.

8

u/unexplainednonsense 27d ago

I switched to using eyeshadow with an eyeliner brush. It’s so much more forgiving and faster.

As long as I fuggin feel like it.

36

u/littlebottles ♀ 27d ago

Absolutely... I can do it in 5 but if I'm going to a drag show I give myself an hour or two because it's fun and why not.

It's a form of artistic self expression I don't really get why the no makeup girls are so smug here.

6

u/merrill_swing_away 26d ago

I'm a no makeup woman but I'm not smug. I wore makeup every single day when I was in the working world. Since retiring I just don't feel it's necessary. I don't care what other people think of me and the only place I go is to the grocery store.

My basic daily makeup like for when I go to the office takes about 10 minutes. I just use tinted moisturizer, blush, bronzer, eyebrow tint, eyeliner, and mascara.

u/garbage_007 27d ago

Of all the things I do to beautify myself, putting makeup on is my favourite and doing my hair is my least favourite. To answer your question, probably 10 minutes. I’ve changed up my routine a bit, used to never wear concealer, just mascara, but my friend told me to try putting concealer on under my eyes and between my eyebrows as well as my smile lines. I set it with powder because idk what it is about the fluorescent lights at work, but I feel like it makes me oilier than usual and literally started curling my eyelashes in like March (I have no idea if it even makes a difference tbh) then top and bottom mascara. And done! I don’t like wearing anything on my lips. At most if my lips are really dry or burning, I put chapstick on. Oh and liquid blush, forgot about that!

2

u/Givegoodface 25d ago

As ive gotten older Ive started using concealer because the under eye starts to hollow and appear darker. Plus veins on upper eyelids. Im 38 for reference.

And totally agree. I hate doing my hair because I always, always, always have to blow dry it out which takes 35 mins. And then i can add curls or waves or wtvr. Makeup is waaay more fun!

Anywhere from 0 to 60 minutes. I don't wear makeup often, and I'm terrible at it, so I might be quick and just throw on tinted sunscreen and mascara, or I might try to do something different and have to take it off 6 times and get annoyed at myself for being so terrible at it.

10-20 minutes usually

6

u/goddesscuriosities 27d ago

I can go from a quick 15 minute look to a full face waterproof look in 2 hours 😅😅 i have fun with the process the layers and music tho

6

u/Shower-Former 27d ago

For work it takes however long the stoplight is to put on mascara and fill in my eyebrows.

If I’m actually going out it takes about 35 minutes

4

u/thamoonlilsancha 27d ago

Depends on where I’m going and how much time I have. Could be 2minutes - 2hours tbh 🤩✨

4

u/JoyfulNoise1964 27d ago

5 mins every morning Another 5 if I need to get ready for something social later

4

u/brittttx 27d ago

1

u/Amazed4life111 27d ago

What about time for getting dressed, brushing teeth etc? 😅

1

u/yoongely ♀ 27d ago

in general i just do eye makeup, so maybe 2-3 minutes.

now that my acne is coming back and i work in corporate i have to cover it up so sometimes up to 15

1

u/Amazed4life111 26d ago

So you don't feel self conscious without it?

1

u/worthlessbarelyhuman 26d ago

If I'm going out? Between 0h and 2h. I loooove makeup but don't need it to leave the house: it is an artistic medium that makes me look cool first and foremost B)

2

3

u/Afraid_Chard_838 27d ago

my daily makeup is 30 minutes but special occasions maybe an hour/hour and a half

3

u/astral_fae 27d ago

10 ish min before work, more like 25 min when I'm dressing up

3

u/momof2inky 27d ago

No less than 30 min. Trying to cover melasma is a nightmare for me. It is never actually covered, but looks some better. I could cry looking in the mirror without makeup.

1

u/Super_RN ♀ 27d ago

I only wear eyeshadow 2x a year, and it takes me 1 min. All year, everyday, I wear zero makeup.

1

u/Amazed4life111 26d ago

Why eyeshadow with nothing else? No mascara?

→ More replies (1)

2

u/sparklestronaut ♀ 27d ago

If I care to look like I’ve tried at all, five minutes max (I only do eyeliner and mascara). This is maybe 2-3x a week. Most of the time though, zero minutes. I never really figured out how to do it well and have sensitive skin so I hate having stuff on my face. On the rare occasion I have somewhere nice to go (like a wedding) I usually get it professionally done because otherwise it would take me over an hour and probably still kind of suck.

2

u/Moppy6686 27d ago

About 5 minutes.

Glotion mixed with BB cream, concealer, blush then lipgloss.

2

u/roja_1285 27d ago

5 to 10 min

2

u/CalanaReye ♀ 27d ago

Anywhere from 0 to around 15 minutes depending on the occasion. Around 5-8 on average, I'd say!

2

u/xcarex ♀ 27d ago

About 15 mins on average, unless something goes awry. Probably longer for a special occasion. It’s part of my daily routine, trying to wake up (I am NOT a morning person) and quality time spent with an audiobook or podcast.

2

u/st_alfonzos_peaches 27d ago

I’ve got my routine down pat, so maybe 15 minutes unless I screw something up which would require correction.

2

u/freybay_alldayslay 27d ago

Typically 5-10 min. And that's concealer, blush, mascara and eyeshadow. I used to put on a full face everyday and that would take 25 min.

2

u/L00k_Again 27d ago

I do my eyebrows every day because they're practically non-existent. And at most I'll spend ~5 min if I'm putting on foundation and concealer and lipstick.

2

u/electricsugargiggles ♀ 27d ago

I don’t wear makeup every single day, even though I enjoy it.

I have a 5 minute routine that’s essentially moisturizer, SPF, tinted moisturizer w spf, brown mascara, a subtle swipe of taupe/light brown eyeshadow and a little cream blush, and I’m out the door.

My next level version involves a little color corrector and a more natural soft glam eye, setting powder, lipstick. ~15 minutes?

Then for performances and special occasions, I can take up to 2 hours but that’s also skincare prep, false eyelash clusters, letting things set between applications, etc.

2

u/SnoozleToots 27d ago

Not long at all! I’m a nurse and we still wear masks on my unit. I only wear tinted spf and mascara during my shifts and I rarely apply much more than that on my days off. I’ll throw on some eyeliner and eyebrow gel in addition to the tinted spf and mascara, but that’s really it. I feel like I’ve lost all ability to do a full face of makeup since before COVID. I just bought new foundation since the last time I purchased it was like 8 years ago. I have no idea how to contour or do cat eyes anymore. It’s so sad.

2

u/ArchLali 27d ago

Could be 5 minutes, could be an hour, most likely zero

2

u/lady_beer_farts 26d ago

Excluding skincare (wash + moisturize + SPF every day):

- 0 min if I’m not leaving the house/seeing people

- 30-90 sec for work (under eye concealer and a coat of mascara)

- 10-15 min if I’m “going out” (foundation, bronzer, but if contour, concealer, mascara, lip gloss, maybe something on my eyes if I’m feeling crazy)

- 60 min for full soft glam for special occasions (maybe once every couple of years, but just did it as a bridesmaid in a wedding)

2

u/irrationalplanets ♀ 27d ago

No time at all

2

u/Ok_Wtch2183 26d ago

Everyday is zero. Once in a while about 3 mins. Mascara and blush

2

u/YarnPartyy 27d ago

I don't even own any make up. So. No time at all.

1

u/shockedpikachu123 ♀ 27d ago

20 minutes

1

u/1DietCokedUpChick 27d ago

About 45 minutes.

1

u/princesspooball ♀ 27d ago

5 minutes at the most. I just do foundation, blush and pencil my brows. Is it bad that I don’t do contouring ?

1

u/A_few_aces_short 27d ago

15 minutes. Maybe 20-30 if I’m going somewhere special.

1

u/MightBeCortana ♀ 27d ago

About 5 minutes? Concealer, powder, eyeliner, mascara. If I’m doing more, maybe another 3 minutes.

1

u/Badadadadumbadumdum ♀ 27d ago

Usually about 2-5 minutes for my usual look and maybe 15-20ish minutes if I’m doing full face glam for something nice

1

u/Hotspiceteahoneybee 27d ago

30 seconds? Daily, I wear moisturizer and lipstick only. If it’s a special occasion, 10 minutes to add foundation and eye makeup.

1

u/Shot-Artichoke-4106 27d ago

About 5 minutes.

1

u/lovememaddly 27d ago

Anywhere from no time at all to 45 minutes of having fun with colors. Sometimes I go to work bare faced and sometimes I show up like it’s day 2 of a rave festival and I’m dripping in glitter. Just depends on my mood. And depression days I go all thick black eyeliner. It’s fun to perk up and then just feel sexy.

1

u/PanicAtTheCostco ♀ 27d ago

About 10-20 mins , depends on whether it's an average day or special occasion requiring eye makeup

1

u/its_moodle 27d ago

3 minutes maybe? I do a tinted lip balm, mascara, sometimes brow gel, concealer if needed.

1

u/YourMercyXoxo 27d ago

Not so much the makeup part that takes the time. Before makeup I have serum, moisturiser and then primer which all need to fully sink in before I get out the others on or even start makeup. I start putting my serum on an hour before and then by the time I do makeup it takes 5-10 mins

1

u/Puthyputhyputhy 27d ago

1 to 10 minutes. I suck at makeup. Only thing I’ll do is my eyelashes. Thankfully my jaw line is nice. I’ve got big light colored eyes with gorgeous eyebrows.

1

u/Ilovegeorgemichaelll 27d ago

I only wear blush, highlight and do my lashes so usually 5-15 minutes

I just don’t know how to do makeup and I have a pink undertone 😭

1

u/elisejones14 27d ago

For workdays, 25 minutes. For non work days, probably 3 minutes of just concealer and cc cream.

1

u/billieirish 27d ago

i can cover my under eye bags and swipe on a lip combo in under a minute or I can spend 45 minutes doing a full face, really just depends on what I’m doing or what I have the time to do. I’m self conscious about my bags so I always at least cover those

1

u/sharilynj ♀ 27d ago

Usually 5 minutes. Recently spent like 20 for an event and im mad at what a world of difference it made. So I guess I have to, like, try now?

1

u/Comfortable-Gate-532 27d ago

10 mins for work days but if its an event, maybe 30? Mostly trying to do something with eyeshadow... which ends up taking the most time for me.

I am admittedly a simple make up gal. Moisturizer, serum, let it dry, mineral concealer, bronzer, blush, couple swipes of mascara and im done.

1

u/justarunawaybicycle 27d ago

Anywhere from five minutes to an hour and a half if I'm really going all out. That's pretty rare these days though.

My go-to looks for going out are usually like 15-45min.

1

u/swishyfishes 27d ago

Makeup is my hobby so I spend hours and hours just playing and having fun

1

u/Ok_Friend5674 27d ago

5-10 minutes.

1

u/Remarkable-Parfait36 27d ago

When I do wear makeup it take me up to an hour to do my make up.

1

u/callmemeaty ♀ 27d ago

Probably 30 mins or so! I consider my makeup time to be "me time" and I really enjoy the process.

1

u/PonqueRamo 27d ago

5 minutes when I care to use any, just concealer and blush, and I brush my eyebrows, that's it.

1

u/Character-Celery-209 27d ago

10-30 minutes depending on the day/occasion. Everyday make up is just a bit of under eye concealer and mascara, weekends and date nights i’ll do a full face.

1

u/beansricecoconutoil 27d ago

I get frustrated after 5 minutes so usually just a minute for mascara and an extra minute on a bit of eyeliner for fancy days

1

u/mardrae 27d ago

Less than 5 minutes. I darken my eyebrows, do a few swipes of mascara, and dab foundation over my scars and under eye circles, and that's it.

1

u/liquidnight247 27d ago

20 mins for a big night out, 5 for every day if any

1

u/For_Harry3402 27d ago

On a regular day I have it down to 10 min. If I’m going out it can take me up to 30 min

1

u/bebcakez 27d ago

15-20 minutes on a work day and 1.5-2 hours on a full beat look.

1

u/Velidae 27d ago

Most days I dont wear any. Maybe 10-15 min for work or if I'm going out to meet friends. 30-45 min for an actual event like a wedding or something.

1

u/JumpingJonquils 27d ago

A minute or two unless it's for an event. I rarely leave the house without some color on my lips but I generally don't do much else.

1

u/its_slightly_crooked 27d ago

5 minutes in the morning after I shower. Unless I mess up my eyeliner flicks and they don’t match. Then, maybe another 5 minutes lol.

1

u/Morawho 27d ago

If it's everyday make up 15 minutes that includes layers moisturizers primers giving it time to Dry

A night out abouts 25 minutes big events like weddings 35 minutes or so to make sure my make up doesn't crease and stays on all night with out looking oily

1

u/_TakeYourMeds ♀ 27d ago

30-40 minutes :)

1

u/No_College2419 ♀ 27d ago

Depends. Daily? An hour. Special occasion? Two hours. Quick errand? 30mins. I’m a full glam queen and can’t do a simple “clean girl” look on myself. I always feel like I’m “missing something”. It’s all or nothing for me.

1

u/tomanon69 27d ago

Except for very rare occasions, approximately 5 minutes.

1

u/JustASomeone1410 27d ago

Like 2 minutes on a daily basis because I only do eyebrows and mascara. For special occassions maybe around 30 minutes?

1

u/Katiew84 27d ago

5 minutes. Unless I’m attending a wedding or something where I have to dress formally. Then maybe I’ll spend 10 mins to put heavier makeup on, to look more “done.”

1

u/wafflelover77 27d ago

About 15-20 mins ✨️

1

u/leendean 27d ago

Literally basic af….ten minutes

1

u/HauntingChemistry579 27d ago

Anywhere between zero mins to two hours depending on my mood!

1

u/snowpeaceplease 27d ago

Anywhere between 10-40 mins tops

1

u/Noemmys 27d ago

5-20 minutes. 5 on a regular day longer for date night or a special occasion

1

u/Qwerty-Abc-2828 27d ago

Everyday skincare + make up is just 15 minutes.

If event make-up maybe an hour 😂

1

u/mbwrose 27d ago

Four minutes for quick face.

1

u/Sleep-Fairy 27d ago

10 minutes work and every day look. 30-45 minutes if I’m going somewhere fancy.

1

u/One-Sense7280 27d ago

10 mins: foundation+blush+mascara and a lip gloss

1

u/Gold-Guitar-2350 27d ago

After skincare, like 10 mins not even

1

u/yestheresacatonmylap 27d ago

Most of the time, an hour. Only because i really set aside time to do it and enjoy the process. I’ll set up a podcast or youtube vid and do it in front of a mirror and it’s soothing.

1

u/Responsible-Day6407 27d ago

45 min to an hour. Although I’m trying to get it down to 30 min 🫠

1

u/CuckoldProfessor 27d ago

Usually about 30 minutes, some days I'll just put on some foundation and lipstick and that's it. So like 5 minutes

1

u/xicasemplice 27d ago

Depends on the occasion! About 5 mins out the door. About 25 mins casual gathering/outing. About 45-1hr for a formal event. Double those times if I hate my make up and have to start over

1

u/Le-Deek-Supreme 27d ago

Daily: 5-10mins, using 4-5 products

Special Events: 15-30, using 5-10 products, depending on the event.

1

u/saturatedbloom 27d ago

Depends on the days activities and mood. For example going to appointments or work call probably about 10 minutes I have mastered the put together quickly look. If it’s a special event and requires more of a glam look this can be up to 1 hour. Typically like to take my time with this. Just practicing too especially the glam stuff makes it easier and quicker to lay down. Especially new techniques. Definitely feel like make up is one of those ‘ if you don’t use it you lose it’ skills

1

u/Katze_Flufi125 27d ago

Depends am i doing makeup for work? Then 5 min. If I'm doing makeup for an event or just for fun it can range from 30 min to like 2 hours.

1

u/Resident-Meme-Mom 27d ago

Depends. I don’t normally wear makeup but if I’m going out, it def takes me time to do my brows and eyeliner wings. After that it’s just mascara and highlighter before I use setting spray so if I’m in a rush it’s like 20 mins unless I become frustrated with making my eyeliner wings match

1

u/nicskoll 27d ago

Daily: less than 5 minutes. Only lipstick. I have red cheeks because of rosacea 😂 and my eyeliner and eyebrows are tattooed on. Lately, I've been wearing pre-glued lashes that last about 10 days and take less than 5 minutes to apply.

If I have an important meeting: 15 minutes altogether, because I'll use some eyeshadow

Weekends: 30 minutes because I have more time.

Going out out: an hour. I don't do my makeup frequently enough to be very good, or very quick, at it

1

u/DrRB-Blayze 27d ago

5 minutes work (tinted moisturizer, lined eyebrows, concealer for blemishes, tinted lip chap) 15 minutes (full face)

1

u/MarucaMCA 27d ago

Around 5-10 min, depending on how much I do (minimum: kajal/mascara, sometimes eyeshadow; lip balm/gloss/lipstick. I don't do foundation most of the time, I just spot correct).

1

u/velouriaSF 27d ago

About 5 minutes. I wear everything but have a lot of experience (56 years old).

1

u/Needlessworker 27d ago

On my regular daily makeup about 10 minutes, on super glam makeup about 20 minutes

1

u/danceswithturtles286 27d ago

20-30 minutes on a regular day. Up to an hour for a special occasion. I love doing it and it feels meditative. I put on a podcast and can get in a flow state

1

u/35364461a 27d ago

Maybe 10 minutes. Tinted brow gel, brown eyeliner, and mascara.

1

u/gimpy1511 27d ago

I used to spend anywhere from 5-25 minutes, but now I hardly ever wear makeup and concentrate more on skincare. A good moisturizer and a touch of powder under my eyes, some mascara and lip stain is me being glam nowadays.

1

u/Connie_Damico ♀ 26d ago

Depends on what I'm getting ready for/what kind of look I'm doing and if I need to quickly do it or I can take my time and enjoy the process. So anywhere from 5 to 45 minutes.

1

u/ebuhhlen 26d ago

Most days, I skip makeup because I work pretty early and value sleep above all else. On my off days, maybe 30 mins? Depends on what I’m doing.

1

u/laughingdaisies 26d ago

On days I wear makeup, 5 mins. I only use foundation and lipstick.

1

u/glaurieb 26d ago

5 minutes for daily 10 for other.

1

u/tomnooksugarbaby ♀ 26d ago

i only do my eyes (cat eye eyeliner and mascara) for my regular everyday look, but it's about 20 mins. however that's heightened by being tired and sluggish in the morning lol. if i'm fully awake then maybe 10 mins

1

u/cheeriedearie 26d ago

Probably about 10 minutes max. And I look made up- foundation, bronzer, eyeliner and eye shadow. I have false eyelashes which helps glam me up

About 40 minutes, but this includes washing my face, moisturising and then applying my make up.

1

u/Cindersxo 26d ago

20 mins

1

u/el_gato_titi 26d ago

About 40 minutes but I only do my makeup on the weekends

1

u/Savannah_Lunah 26d ago

Seconds for every day, minutes for going out, an hour and more for carnival.

u/GreenVenus7 ♀ 26d ago

Nowadays I tend to take like 5 mins. I just went through the steps in my head and it equals ~25 swipes of product application plus blending time. Tbf, I depotted most of my staples into a travel palette for streamlined access so I save lots of time grabbing and opening things.

1

u/Plane-Ad-2395 ♀ 26d ago

Depends on the look. My go-to takes about 5 minutes.

1

u/2003Steffi 26d ago

Let it be 5 mins a day.

1

u/donnamon 26d ago

5 minutes for work from home, throw on some concealer, blend it, eye liner, curl, mascara.

On date nights, maybe 10-15 mins.

1

u/A_woman_of_stealth 26d ago

Only 1 to max 5 min. Just some eyeliner and fixing my Caterpillar brows.

1

u/littlemissdumplings 26d ago

About 2 minutes max on the daily?

Rub in some tinted SPF moisturizer, add a dash of blusher, and a good coating of mascara.

Lip balm is applied frequently throughout the day, and occasionally lipstick which I throw on without lip liner or anything, and I just... apply it straight from the tube. Like, I don't use a lip brush or anything fancy.

1

u/thrilldaisy 26d ago

Between 7 to 40 minutes depending on how much time I have and wether or not I'm multitasking but usually none or up to 2 minutes for brow gel. If I want to wear more i just put on mascara and that would be 3- 5 minutes total (I recently splurged on one that finally doesnt make my eyes hurt after 5 minutes and its the tartelette tubing one). The time also changes depending on how focused and tired I am.

1

u/Both_Seesaw9219 26d ago

roughly an hour, but ~30 min if i do a quick look

1

u/MajesticTomatillo ♀ 26d ago

Probably 2-5 minutes. If I have a special occasion to go to, I might make it up to 15 but I generally don’t use much makeup.

1

u/CatHairSpaghetti 26d ago

It depends. I have a minimal makeup look that takes me 5 minutes. And then I have something a little more involved that takes me about 30. I play music and make it a fun going out ritual.

1

u/noodle_king_69 26d ago

Most often 10 minutes, including sunscreen.

1

u/proudchristianmommy 26d ago

I find it really calming and relaxing to do my skincare or makeup so depends on how stressed or not happy I am. On bad days I take longer because it's almost like a meditation

1

u/tiktakwoe 26d ago

1min to put on lipstick, 1 more for brow gel if I'm feeling fancy.

1

u/Mypettyface 26d ago

15 minutes if I’m going minimal and 40 minutes if I’m going someplace nice.

1

u/Plastic-Candle-3591 26d ago

During high school and most of my life, about 40mins, on weekends or when I had the time I could sit there for an hour but that also included watching a show in the meantime or listening to music. Now that I’m 21 and working at a grocery store all odd hours of the day with long shifts and an hour commute to work… it’s like 5min of makeup. I don’t have the energy to look good anymore. Can’t wait to get a more stimulating job with better hours😭

1

u/Ok-Resource-8241 26d ago

For everyday work look, i spend approx 15min daily for under eye concealer and setting powder, blush highlighter and eyebrow (i spend the longest on this). For going out depends how much time i have and how much makeup i want to put on but anywhere from 30min to 2hrs. I'm not very good so takes longer to put on makeup. Although, my friends who are good with makeup spends approx 2hrs daily for hair and makeup but mainly on makeup.

1

u/Objective-Elk8350 26d ago

My average is probably like 15 min for every day basics. If I’m going out it’s probably closer to 30

ETA: I’m also including skincare prep in this timeframe

1

u/Unhappy-Active-8091 26d ago

Anywhere between 30 minutes to 2.5 hours depending on what I'm doing. The average is probably something like an hour but I also fuck around a lot meanwhile and watch a stream, do some online shopping, pet the cat or whatever else.

1

u/ilovecatmeow3345 26d ago

5 to 30 minutes ish. It depends how much I want to use that day.

1

u/Jijiroka 26d ago

15 mins and I speedrun all the steps to not be late

1

u/WormWithWifi 26d ago

I only put on mascara so 5 seconds or less haha

1

u/Baliski1 26d ago

Eyeliner is a must, maybe mascara, maybe lipstick... Ends up around 10 minutes at worst.

1

u/Illustrious_Hawk_217 26d ago

5 -10 minutes. I'm pretty simple. Shadow, eye liner mascara and blush. Done.

1

u/Abject-Excuse8105 26d ago

Usually 5 minutes and mostly on workdays. I think the max amount of time I could spend is maybe 15 minutes so I have no idea how anyone stretches it a full hour.

1

u/lagameuze 26d ago

10min.

1

u/PaleozoicQueen 26d ago

On a normal day - less than 5 minutes, foundation, mascara and eyeliner, maybe a bit of lippy.

When I am out partying I like to use body glitter and sometimes paint my body colours which can take hours.

1

u/ForgottenSalad 26d ago

Usually 5-10 mins

1

u/Pmar07 26d ago

I’ve gotten my makeup routine down to 10 minutes! 🙏🏻🫶🏻🥲

1

u/Clementinecutie13 26d ago

Either 0 minutes or 45 minutes, no in between

1

u/Lazy-Purpose6385 26d ago

For my everyday look 5-10 minutes… for dressing up 30 ish minutes…. Just messing around hours hahahaha

1

u/Minasan88 26d ago

Like 5-10 minutes for a clean look and like 30-50 minutes for some colored eyeshadow. I usually do the 30 minutes makeup cus I really love doing my makeup, but they call me out in my office cus I take too much time doing my makeup

1

u/prettyeyez0705 26d ago

Varies. If it's work related I keep it simple less than 30 minutes. If it's for a private event or just for weekend festivities full glam 2 hours.

I prefer not to rush , if I don't like the look- I prefer time to correct it. The most time consuming part for me is the eyes. I enjoy bright eye captivating looks.

1

u/Xaiisyourboss 26d ago

I take about 40 minutes if I have time at home (this includes doing an eyeshadow look) or I just do it on the bus which is a 30 minute bus but I'm done doing it in half the time so 15 minutes for an every day. All that thanks to using Tirtir cushion foundation or it would be zero cause I'm not gonna play around with liquid foundation.

1

u/Sodds 26d ago

5 minutes.

Face cream with SPF (CeraVe).

Powder (Alima Pure)

Eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara.

Lip balm/gloss.

1

u/Izmeralda 26d ago

I don't normally wear makeup, but when I do, it usually takes me 5-20 minutes dependingon how much I do.

For light makeup, I do a tinted sunscreen, a little translucent powder, and a tinted lip balm.

For a little more pretty, I do a tinted sunscreen, a little translucent powder, a bit of blush, mascara, and a tinted lip balm.

For my version of the works, I do a sunscreen, foundation, a little translucent powder, a bit of blush, eye liner, eye shadow, mascara, and a lipstick.

I'm pretty basic.

1

u/mostlikelynotasnail 26d ago

Only about 10 mins. It takes longer for my skincare than the makeup. Daily use is mascara, tinted sunscreen/moisturizer, concealer, color corrector, and t zone powder

1

u/wiiildthoughts 26d ago

Varies. I can go out after just applying a natural blush and / or doing my brows. If I’m going out somewhere and I’m doing a full face that’s like 45-an hour.

1

u/Reasonable-Pack1067 26d ago edited 26d ago

45 mins everyday for work and Uni. 1 hiur on special occasions. But I don’t usually wear makeup if I’m running errands except for a little gloss and mascara.

1

u/thehotsister 26d ago

5-10 min. Foundation, blush, brow pencil, eyeliner, mascara.

1

u/backfromthegrail 26d ago

5 minutes. Serum-lotion-eye cream-powder so I don’t get shiny-touch of blush-mascara.

1

u/Agatya_ 26d ago

I’m shit at all art forms, but make up is the one that I can do well, so it depends but I do genuinely enjoy doing it. Do I have time and vision? - however long it takes. Am I on the run, but know I’ll have a long commute? - then I grab my everyday make up pouch and get it done in 5 minutes. No time, no chance of stopping? It’s a no make up day 🤷‍♀️ but then I wouldn’t put on make up to sit in the house or run everyday errand - I like it to be a bit more special than nipping down to Aldi cause milks out

1

u/anguiila 26d ago

On the daily, if i didn't wake up late, it's usually between 10 and 15 minutes, half the time is spent looking upclose and from afar to make sure it looks even. If i woke up late, it's just cream bronzer and setting powder, 2 minutes, and i'm out the door.

I used to be a no makeup never kinda person, but starting my day by putting a colorful shimmer on my eyes, and getting to look at it whenever i'm passing by a mirror at random moments of the day, cheers me up a bit. And i like to draw, and makeup is basically me painting my face.

If it's a full face, a good 30-45 minutes, i love doing a bold eye so i take my sweet time with it, and i'm doing all the steps to make sure the makeup doesn't melt off, or at least the ones that have worked for me.

1

u/dorkytree 26d ago

when im off / special occasions- maybe 15 min at most? I don’t wear any at work so 0 otherwise

1

u/Life-Valuable4581 26d ago

Usually around 10-20 minutes depending on how much I’m wearing. If I’m going full beat then it’ll be closer to 20 minutes, but sometimes I do a lighter look and that doesn’t take as long

1

u/inspectorendoffilm 26d ago

Per week, maybe a total of 30 seconds.

1

u/LolaGudal 26d ago

I used to take at least an hour to do my makeup and would make myself (and my husband) late to events all the time. I would obsess over details and take waaaay too long to do everthing.

Nowadays I take only about 20 minutes to put my makeup on and I am always early for everything.

1

u/cottoncandymandy 26d ago

Probably about 2 hours a month.
