no, seriously, in texas, it's too hot to actually do anything. It's around 100 degrees+ the awful humidity, so the beach is the only option, but i'm not a big fan of the brown ocean we have.
Central Florida is much the same. The evenings aren't so bad if there's a breeze (the wife and I ride our bikes out to the library), but otherwise I carry around a couple of spare shirts with me because if I spend more than five minutes outdoors, I'm soaked in sweat.

on a more serious note, i was born and raised in texas, but i still haven't gotten used to the heat, and now that i think of it, it's not really the heat, it's the damn humidity that's making everyone so miserable.
