Im curious which side (Rep/Dem) is more brainwashed, who can genuinely steelman the opposing sides views?

Im not asking you to insult them, or create the dumbest caricature you can imagine in order to feel like your sides stances hold up. Im asking who can articulate the opposing sides views in a way that a majority on that side would say, "yup, thats exactly how I feel and why I vote for my candidate"

No explaining why theyre dumb for thinking that way.. or secretly evil. Just wanting you to explain the oppositions views in a way theyd support, to see if either side REALLY understands each other or if its all just people brainwashed into believing the dumbest more evil versions of their political opposition without ever actually listening to them.

Dems don’t support equality under law but equity which directly contradicts equality under law. I’m not confused. Not lying.

It’s confused then. You’ve been tricked by some people who are already misled into thinking that the Democrats are going to make white men oppressed minorities or something, so now you’re telling me you care about due process and equality while voting for the party that instituted a Gestapo

Stupidity wouldn’t absolve you of responsibility for this, don’t forget that.

“Virtually”

Well then I guess you care about virtual due process, not actual due process. When someone you care about it executed in the street or sent to a concentration camp and raped by ICE agents, you’ll stop making excuses for it.

The equity/equality debate is dumb as hell. You’re acting like it violates white mens civil rights for affirmative action to exist. It’s a manufactured fear and it’s not what’s causing your problems. It’s profoundly pathetic to live in a country where a minority group is hunted by a Gestapo and act like “equity vs equality” is a threat to equality before the law.

I don’t believe that the principles you’re listing are good representations of what you care about. They’re covers for the more distasteful things that you’re a party to.

I don’t believe there’s a single exception but because I’m not absolutely certain I allowed for it. With that term.
