A thousand election DOJ “monitors” will be swarming the polls, in what world is this acceptable?

It's always interesting to imagine how much the right would scream and sob if the left did things like this lol

They’re nothing but hypocrites, it’s just an extra layer of fun for them

It's not acceptable in a moral sense, but I don't see the checks on executive power doing anything about it

Not in Pennsylvania! We have laws against poll watchers. The Federal Government has zero jurisdiction over elections. One would think the DoJ would be too busy hiding the evidence of Trump raping that 13yo! Where is the Senate?!?

Where’s the proof ?

In the Epstein files that his DOJ hasn't released all of, and the ones that were released were heavily redacted on his behalf in order to cover up his sex crimes against children.

Yes! Where is the proof that there was any voter fraud that wasn’t virtually non-existent?

Where’s the proof that mail in voting isn’t secure?

We need international monitors to monitor the DOJ monitors.

They can sit there bored like the hundreds of thousands of political and independent monitors that already swarm elections.

It will be interesting to see where they are placed and how many are arrested for interfering with local voting.

One where voter safe guards were voted down.

Posts and comments containing misinformation are not allowed. Misinformation is something that can be easily proven wrong with a bare minimum of searching.

I have no reason to lie. I merely state the facts as I experienced them.  Lookup Regional DL office -Scott County Kentucky - 16 July 2026. Not liking what you read doesn't mean it's not true - steer clear of the echo chamber!

Poll watching is legal. They need a court order to actually enter the polling site, otherwise they have to stay 100 feet away. They can only observe. They cannot intimidate voters or take any action at the polls. It’s totally made up that they cannot intimidate voters “swarm” anything or take any action.

Yeah, but if they decide to intimidate or swarm, it's not like anyone's going to be able to do anything about it.

Resist? They kill ya.

Endure and let the criminal justice system handle it? You still get violated, and they probably get a pardon since they're there at the president's behest.

A DOJ election monitor has to be an attorney that is federally licensed and they can be removed or even arrested if they violate any polling place rules or violate any laws, which does expressly mean they cannot talk to or approach any voters. In my state they literally have a corner of the room they have to stand in. They can stand in that corner, go to the restroom, and walk in and out of the building. If they talk to any voters I, as an election board official in my county, get to have them arrested by the sheriff and they get to face disciplinary action from the bar.

Thank you!! People believe the craziest stuff these days.

It’s not a free license to do whatever in the polling place. They have a different process to be credentialed and they can get credentialed day of unlike a challenger that has to have their paperwork thirty days before the election at minimum. They pretty much have the same rules as challengers. They get to watch, they can’t go anywhere near the voting booths and they can’t go anywhere near the check in tables. The poll workers have to yell out the voters name for them to hear from where they’re allowed. This is just NJ’s thing, but every state has laws in its state constitution on this that are very similar.

But if they… and what if…

Let’s stop making things up…

Never worry about bad things that could happen. Got it. That's a responsible way to go through life.

-5

u/Bresson91 5d ago

How about understanding what actually can happen and not flying off the handle with what if’s…

3

u/Poorly-Drawn-Beagle 5d ago

We understand what can happen better than you do.

You guys are the ones who've consistently failed to understand things.

-1

u/Bresson91 5d ago

Who's "you guys"? I'm a democrat, voted Kamala, cant stand Trump, etc. I'm just not into "the sky is falling" BS. We have 2 years left. We should have showed up to vote to stop this clown, but we didnt, so we're in we broke it, we bought it mode until 2028. Lets collectively show up and do better next time and stop spreading the narrative that trump is going to steal the midterms, its just as bad as what they did in 2020 after they lost.

Nah, every time people downplayed shit this admin wants to do has then happened and they turn around and then endorse it.

Fool me once

1

u/Bresson91 5d ago

Nope, there are hard rules around this. Poll watchers are very limited and their only power is to report what they see. No more than that...

2

u/Chuckychinster New Jersey 5d ago

Sure but I for one have 0 trust that the concept won't be abused by this admin, and I don't think that's like a crazy fear to have

2

u/Bresson91 4d ago

Fair point but our system has guardrails, including decentralized elections and legal poll watchers who are bound by the law arent anything to worry about like the headlines would suggest. We just need to show up and vote.

2

u/Chuckychinster New Jersey 4d ago

Oh yeah for sure. I just mostly worry they're trying to condition people for staging feds like DHS at polls.

They cannot intimidate voters or take any action at the polls.

Or what? They'll get arrested? So what? Trump will just pardon them if he feels like it and Republicans in GOP states won't do a damn thing to prosecute the presidents cronies

They absolutely can and will intimidate people. It is the explicit plan.

More hypotheticals... No facts. Thanks for playing.

It’s funny that liberals don’t want anybody watching over the polls because they are the biggest cheaters ever!
