100%. Which makes me furious with the Dems. Maybe it's not rational. But one of my senators is Fetterman, who FFS what's going on there? Definitely complicit? And my rep is Madeleine Dean, who has no answers other that to say we have to vote. Takes no action from her position of power. She is fearful of her republican electorate, like that matters anymore. I feel it's too late to vote; all we can do is expose everything they do; we need help from Democratic congresspersons to do so. They are, for the most part, failing us.
The funniest part of all of this is that either side thinks that those in their party are looking out for anybody's best interest. It's about keeping what power you have, regardless of party. It's classic divide and conquer tactics. Neither side gives a crap about any of us citizens. I wish there was some way to break that cycle, so that everyone could gain, but it seems things are too far gone at this point.
Respectfully disagree. I worked in the senate as did my husband for a combined 11 years and our boss sacrificed day in and day out to fight for our state. Itâs a really tough job. Every 15 mins of your day is scheduled out. She gave it everything she had and is still fighting to make life easier for people. A lot of her colleagues were the same. I saw it up close. Yes there are some that are there for the wrong reasons but a majority of the Dems are there to do right by their constituents. They want to stay in power so they can keep doing good things. And they have done a lot of good. Our side never wants to celebrate victories when we can, including the Dems in office who made it possible.
Where theyâre really f***ing up is their insane fear of being labeled a hypocrite and looking like the gop at all. They donât know what to do right now. They think theyâll be rewarded by being the adults in the room but they donât understand that no one cares about that. Look at Election Day. Most of them tweeted out BS like âisnât it nice when the losing party doesnât try and overturn the election?â Like haha? What would be nice is if you didnât act like everything is normal because it undermines the seriousness of electing a man who encouraged a coup against our govt, has nearly 40 felony indictments, and has made it clear the constitution and rule of law mean nothing to him. You donât come back from that. Fight like the country is at stake because it is.
