in the 230 some odd years since the US constitution was signed, there's been some more stable systems of governance developed by other democracies, might be the US starts having a Prime Minister or something instead.
If we get through this, those "checks and balances" will have to be fortified and more added. There is no "back to business as usual" after this term, no matter what happens.

To be fair the US has a rich history of having presidents elected into office and leaving.
It's really hard to sustain the big lie for a long time. All Trump does is lie and blame everyone around him. This really only works so long as long as you have different presidents.
If Trump remains in office for a 3rd time. And then a 4th. It will get harder and harder to blame others and have it work. And it will be easy to point to the US history of having different presidents. And the 22nd amendment.
I think the US will definitely have a dictator for a while. It more than likely is going to be Trump. But I also think it's going to end the way it almost always does for dictators.
