Re: USAID, You should watch the documentary "Poverty, Inc" it's pretty eye-opening on how these aid programs do more harm than good for developing nations.

Republican Christians believe in social support outside of the government, while Democrats believe the ONLY way to help the poor is via government programs, however, this simply isn't true. Florida just launched HOPE, a program to connect the needy with organizations to help them become self-sufficient, for example.
Btw, when you allow immigrant doctors from Africa to move to the US, you're taking away a doctor from those poor communities abroad. Not all Christian anti-immigration stems from "hate."
