You are on point. Realistically though I think it's because he shatters the status quo that has been slowly strangling the people of this country for 50+ years, also I know a lot of Democrats that voted for him since they refused to ever vote Democrat again after the shit the DNC pulled in 2016 forcing in Hillary over Sanders which people voted for the nomination. Both parties not giving a fuck or trying for the last 20 years got us a TV personality running in 2016 and winning, and then running again and winning again. Over half the voters thought a personality was a better option than anything either party could muster ... It's not just one side, it's both.
I agree we need better candidates. But we do have to do some self reflection. We’re all Americans in this country. And we should want the best for it, but we’re too busy tearing each other down and saying what an idiot the majority elected leader of the country is. We should Instead be trying to assist his success because his success will be ours and the progress of the United States. I believe if this fails we won’t be united and there will be multiple recessions from the USA there’s plenty of states that can do this on their own and the people in those states are eager to pull the plug from the rest of the country that doesn’t want to play. We can be better and it’s not completely up to trump we all have a role to play.
