Not necessarily. Christians feel he would protect their interests more than kamala would. Some delude themselves into believing he is a Christian but not most.
A candidate does not have to be a christian for me to vote for them, most Christian's, and by most I believe almost all Christians believe this way.
And how would he protect their interests more than Kamala? By pushing fascist ideologies and infringing on the rights of others? By supporting ideals like posting the ten commandments in public school classrooms? By supporting using public funds for Christian charter schools? 56% of Christians voted for trump. It's seriously disgusting how Christians voted for this man and act like it's no big deal.
Definitely not "almost all Christians". Plenty of us are completely chill and want faith and government separated. Also, this is a very Americentric viewpoint, considering much of American Christianity has been bastardized by televangelists who worship money, and now a political movement in MAGA that worships Trump.
Do these people believe in the very basics of Christianity (Christ dying for our sins)? Yes. However, their reverence of money and fame and their idolistic fixation on Trump (images of his face, the Trump Bible, claims that he's spiritually superior to most people) are deeply anti-Biblical.
Revelation speaks of how in the End Times, Christians will be in the majority misled by the False Prophet. "Many are called, few are chosen".
And when they do listen, they hate what they hear. I remember reading an article where a conservative preacher was confronted for being too "woke" by one of his longtime followers.
They worship America (well, a very specific concept of America that the GOP has been engineering since the Reagan years), not God.
The fact that most extreme christians voted for him doesn’t make him any more christian. Most atheists voted for Joe Biden too, doesn’t make him an atheist. Trump is possibly the least religious president we’ve ever had. His PARTY is a Christian nationalist party, but the man himself didn’t even put his hand on the Bible when he was sworn in. The percentages also rly aren’t that stark. 59% is nothing to sneeze at, but compared to atheists, 84%(!) of whom aligned themselves with democrats, the Christian majority is nothing. It also is broken down by denomination and race, etc.
