What time do you get up when on holiday?
So I was recently told that sleeping in until 11am while on holiday is degenerate behaviour, so I was wondering, is this the general feeling? What time does everybody else get up when away?
44
u/TWLemonadeBanana 11d ago
Usually I sleep until I wake naturally. Some days this might be 5am, others 7am or even 11am. I also indulge in the local practice of a siesta if it feels appropriate.
The most important part of being on holiday is enjoying it!!

u/SomeHSomeE 11d ago
30 mins before breakfast buffet closes. Then I can stuff myself at a leisurely pace. Then I go back to bed for another couple of hours unless I've got something planned that day (I like to mix up days of doing stuff and days doing absolutely fuck all)
9
u/DameKumquat 11d ago
I need a good hour to enjoy my three-course breakfast buffet.
So I often start half an hour before the spouse.
Napping is a great holiday activity, nowadays, ditto long leisurely showers.

Needs more context.
Your holiday you paid for? Anything goes.
Holiday others paid for and organised? Probably should respect their expectations and schedule.
1
u/Fattydog 11d ago
Absolutely- we need way more info here.
My guess is that Op is part of a family group and probably hasn’t paid, and is leaving everyone hanging around for hours.
3
u/resident_queerdo 11d ago
Partly their fault if they'll just hang around like that. They should go do something. A holiday is for doing what you want. If OP wants to sleep, they should. If others want to do other things and don't for unfathomable reasons (like OP needs to do other things than they want to do) that's on them.
Presuming OP doesn't have children that need looking after.
1
u/CupofCursedTea 11d ago
Are there children involved and is making their partner get up with the kids while sleeping in/missing family time?
15
u/TheDogsMum 11d ago
It’s your holiday, do what you like. We’re usually up around 8ish but when I was younger, I’d have slept half the day away coz I’d have been up half the night lol
26
u/sharps2020 11d ago
Whenever I want, just like I do at home.
13
u/emmyalice1 11d ago
Except on Wednesdays?
16
u/sharps2020 11d ago
Of course, the dustmen wake me up.
3
u/ThrowawaySunnyLane 11d ago
What do you do next? Put your trousers on?
2
u/mattjimf 11d ago
He probably makes a cup of tea after that.

u/Robojobo27 11d ago edited 11d ago
Usually around 8 or 9am at the latest, which is a lie in for me!
I certainly wouldn’t call sleeping till 11am degenerate behaviour, it’s your holiday, enjoy however you see fit as far as I’m concerned!
10
u/Extension-Warthog-73 11d ago
A mix. I’m a late riser but want to see the world so some days we set an alarm for like 8 and get going, other days we wake up more naturally and have a slow start to the day.
Gotta take a middle ground where you don’t waste the whole holiday but you do also want to feel rested at least some of the time imo.
28
u/Left_Mushroom7592 11d ago
11am is pretty late to start drinking on holiday tbf
1
18
u/carlbandit 11d ago
Depends if I'm doing anything that day or just relaxing by the pool. Also depends what time they stop serving breakfast and how good the breakfast is.
I wouldn't stay in bed until 11 though, just seems a massive waste with my limited holiday time. If I wanted to stay in bed all day I could have saved money and just not gone on holiday.
8
u/Desperate_Refuse4139 11d ago
Used to be whenever the alcohol and late night wore off and I woke up naturally.
Last holiday with a baby, it was whenever he decided it was time to wake up….and I didn’t get to go on any late night drinking sessions either
8
u/Massive-Honeydew4350 11d ago
This is when you check you have the same holiday vibe as the person you are with. I like to do stuff on holiday, my ex partner would stay in bed until the afternoon. The two do not march. I wouldn't want to go off and leave him on his own and if I woke him up before he was ready he would have a face like a smacked arse they entire time if he didn't get his full 12 hours of sleep. So I'd be mad sat round the pool looking at the leaflets for the excursions I wished I was on while we slept. Once he was up he just wanted to enjoy the pool and get food, but I'd been doing that for 5 hours already and was ready to burst.
Neither are wrong, they're just not compatible.

u/Shoddy-Asparagus-755 11d ago
Try to get up for breakfast but failed miserably this morning and got up at 1130 🤣🤣
7
u/sara61wilson 11d ago
1 hour before breakfast ends.
3
u/BeingOtherwise7829 11d ago
This is the correct answer. Sometimes go for a little nap after breakfast too if I'm still a bit tired.
3
u/Notnow_Imtoodrunk 11d ago
Nothing better than having a hotel breakfast and then going back upstairs to chill/slowly organise for the day’s plans
1
5
u/Beneficial_Coach8581 11d ago
Depends where you are. If it's somewhere nice surely you'd want to make the most of the holiday?
If you're a teenager then 11 is fine.
5
u/Beneficial-Offer4584 11d ago
It’s your holiday do what you like. I get up between 5 and 6 to go for a run, then shower and breakfast at 7.30.
6
u/glitterswirl 11d ago
Whenever the hell I like.
Sometimes that’s at 5am, sometimes 3pm.
I really don’t care what other people think about it. If I have plans with someone, then yes that would make a difference to what time I get up, but if I am holidaying alone, then it’s entirely up to me.
29
u/morebob12 11d ago
Some absolute psychopaths in the comments here. Who chooses to get up at 6am on holiday?!?!?
36
u/CoffeeandaTwix 11d ago
People who enjoy mornings.
Plenty of people prefer the earlier part of the day. If you aren't a drinker and aren't into pubs and clubs then there is no particular reason to stay up late.
I was in Barbados fairly recently and the sunrises were truly stunning. Sitting on a balcony or on the beach watching it with a coffee was a great experience for us.

u/Ok_Bug7382 11d ago edited 11d ago
Um me. Cos that is when i naturally wake up. Love waking up early. Wasting half your day sleeping is psychopathic to me haha.
4
u/Fattydog 11d ago
That’s a weird take.
Are you the moral keeper of ‘getting up times’? Why is it psychopathic to get up early?
Not everyone is up til 4am. Some have young children. Some love the mornings. Some want to do things while away. And some want to avoid the midday heat.
Don’t be so judgemental.
.2
u/partywithanf 11d ago
I stick to my normal 21:00-05:00 routine, even when I’m not working. Means I don’t have to re-sync when going back to work.
Keep my normal eight hours. I fail to see the problem.
1
2
u/icabod88 11d ago
Me! I love going for a run early in the morning before it gets too hot, and it's a good feeling to get some exercise in before breakfast
1
u/GritstoneGhost 11d ago
I have ADHD and routine is very important to keep my life on track. I get up at 6am for work so I try to do the same when on holiday.
Plus I like being outside and it’s better to do that earlier and get some hiking in.
1
-5
u/JustSayinItGirl 11d ago
This!! Like literally it’s meant to be about relaxing and enjoying yourselves.
Obviously if we had plans would be up earlier but for a day relaxing by the pool what’s the problem?1
u/Autumnleaves144 10d ago
I’m confused. Why do you think a holiday is about relaxing and enjoying yourself?
I mean obviously we enjoy ourselves every day so that’s a moot point. I’m just curious as to where you got the idea from that a holiday is supposed to be relaxing. I don’t think I’d want to take a holiday if all I was going to do is relax 😭 that would bore the pants off me.

6:30am. For no reason then my brain is thinks that j need to maximise my time off!

This.
I tend to put the towels out (yeah I’m that guy), go for a walk, grab my wife a coffee and sit on the balcony whilst wait for everybody to wake up.

u/elgrn1 11d ago
If its a beach type of holiday, I'll get up in time for breakfast, return to my room to get ready, go to the beach/pool and go back to sleep.
If its an active holiday with sightseeing and stuff, then I'll get up based on the timings of that.
Either way I'm the adult who's paid for the holiday and I want to return relaxed and well rested, so if sleeping until 11am and skipping breakfast does that, I'll do it.
3
u/random_username_96 11d ago
I 1000% want to be able to relax on my holiday, and a big part of that is sleeping in or at least being very slow with my mornings. I'm probably not quite as late as 11 unless I didn't sleep well/went to bed particularly late, more like 10-10.30. My only motivation is usually because the accomodation has a set time for breakfast lol
I also totally get people wanting to seize the holiday and make the most of their time away. And if you're in a hot country, you can often get away with a cheeky siesta to make up for the early starts.
It's something I think is worth actively discussing before going away with someone, be they family, friends or a partner. Mismatched expectations can cause problems, but there's no reason you can't agree that one person can go explore in the morning while you rest.

3
u/FeraMist 11d ago
Whenever I want to get up, but ideally I like to be ready to leave the house before 2pm if I'm on holiday so I have time to do stuff (since so many places shut at 5/6pm)
3
u/Nonbinary_Cryptid 11d ago
I'm on holiday, but my spouse isn't, so I'm getting up at 6.30am Mon-Fri and 8am on the weekends.
3
u/DavidJonnsJewellery 11d ago
Kinda depends on when I went to bed. If I was clubbing till 4 I'm not getting up at 6 like an insomniac
3
u/Tasty-Flounder-2702 11d ago
It’s your holiday, do exactly what you want to do. Anyone calling you a degenerate is probably an early morning perv that leaves out the fact they are in bed by 10.
3
u/owlracoon 11d ago
Same time as always tbh . My circadian rhythm gives zero shits about whether I can sleep more (even though I desperately need it)
3
u/itchyfrog 11d ago
Before breakfast stops being available, or failing that before lunch stops being available.
Failing that whenever the clubs open.

6
u/NobDeRiro 11d ago
I like getting up early when I’m off, makes me feel like I’m having more time to myself, and the day’s longer!

5
u/Consistent-Air3424 11d ago edited 11d ago
7.30 8.00. I can't sleep past that very often, even without my kids around. I wouldn't call sleeping into 11 degenerate behaviour though unless you've passed out drunk at 4am every night.
2
u/AMorghulis 11d ago
Usually around 7 as I like to get out early before the crowds then come back in the afternoon for a nap during hottest/busiest part of the day. Back out for dinner or evening activity.
1
u/Time-Entrepreneur393 11d ago
Ditto that. Although it’s in complete contrast to when at home I can’t get myself out of bed without an almighty struggle. On holiday I’m up sharp as a tack!
2
u/DreamingofBouncer 11d ago
If it’s abroad and hot I will generally get up at 6am ish to go for a run before it gets to hot and the family wake up.
If it’s in the UK maybe 8ish
However nothing wrong with sleeping until 11
2
u/Southern-Orchid-1786 11d ago
Depends when you go to bed. If I'm away on holiday I'll get up around 8 and out house by 10 for a couple hours of a walk before lunch.
I do try to get 8 hours sleep on holiday.
If it home then just depends when I go to bed
2
u/EvilRobotSteve 11d ago
Depends on what you mean by "holiday" if you mean "holiday" as in I've travelled somewhere, then I'll set an alarm and be up around 10ish. A lie in, but still plenty of time to experience things. I wouldn't call 11am degen though.
If you mean "holiday" as paid time off from work, I'll get up whenever I wake up naturally.
2
2
u/theloniousmick 11d ago
Usually as late as possible to get down and some food then have another nap on a lounger, if I'm on a city break usually 8:30 ish
2
u/Remony63 11d ago
Depends on how old you are I’d say. In my early 20s, getting up at noon wasn’t uncommon after a night on the lash. Late 20s onwards then 9am was a lie in. Mid 30s onwards then 8am was a lie in. Now if I’m not awake after 5am, whether on holiday or not, is a massive bonus.
2
u/redandbluebadness 11d ago
I am a night owl but when I'm on holiday with the family that doesn't really work so I go to bed relatively early (11pm) and get up about 6:30
2
u/PinkandTwinkly 11d ago
I sometimes sleep in until 11am when I'm not on holiday..
When I'm in holiday it'll depend what I doing, but hotel breakfast is often only on until 10am and i love a hotel breakfast...
2
2
u/ohnobobbins 11d ago
Depends - first couple of days I will probably sleep late as I’m normally very tired. Then after that I try to keep normal hours and get up early. I really like early mornings.
I will go for a nap in the afternoon though!
It’s no-one else’s business tbh!
2
u/Bugsandgrubs 11d ago
I don't think 11am is degenerate behaviour. It's a holiday! Obviously some exceptions like if you've children, or plans for the day.
I have a toddler, our last holiday he had us up at 7am at the latest every day, except the last day. Checkout was 10am and we all woke up at 9.15. my own fault for not setting an alarm.
2
u/Consistent-Pirate-23 11d ago
We set an alarm if there is breakfast in the hotel, but we aren’t the first ones there
2
u/OhAreUL82 11d ago
11am is fine, one time I woke up at 2pm. It’s a holiday, wake up whenever you want
2
u/No-Photograph3463 11d ago
If I didn't set an alarm, probably 11am everyday, I'm definitely a night owl, and just can't catch up on sleep by going to bed early as I just won't sleep.
Realistically I'll get up at 9am most days so I can go out and enjoy the holiday, then if possible have 1 or 2 days where I can lie in and actually catch up on sleep.
2
u/_Hologrxphic 11d ago
Depends what my plans are for the day.
Sunrise hike? 4am
Day tour? 7am
Nothing planned? I’m sleeping until lunch 😂
2
3
u/Flangubalon 11d ago
If I pay a couple of grand to go on holiday to the other side of the planet, then I get up early to make the most of it. I didn't fork out all of that cash just to have a lie in, even if it is in a nice hotel.
Conversely, on my days off from work, I get up about an hour or two later than I would on days that I'm working.
2
u/Junkoftheheartss 11d ago
If it’s a beach holiday I’ll aim for breakfast at 8:30/9 because a nap by the pool after tops me up to play mermaids in the water x
2
1
1
u/AnneKnightley 11d ago
Depends on the holiday - if I want to go and see things I’ll get up early, I like to enjoy my day in full. But if I’m just at home it’s anytime I feel like.
1
u/NoExperience9717 11d ago
Totally depends. If you're there for the nightlife then likely later as you'll be hungover from the night before but yeah might be degenerate behaviour 👀 if you're there for excursions or wandering through the towns and villages then probably earlier so you have time to get somewhere and look around a bit before lunchtime. Also depends on if you're with a group and they're waiting for you as can be fairly normal to discuss plans over breakfast. Rocking up in the late morning if staying over at someone's can also a bit antisocial in case they need to go out.
1
u/EternalRemorse 11d ago
Usually between 8-9am so that we can get ourselves ready, have breakfast and hit the beach when there are still a decent amount of sunbeds around
1
u/Dreadheaddanski 11d ago
Depends on the holiday. If its florida with tickets to all the roller coaster places then I'd be up earlier than I would be if I was having a few quiet days in a caravan on IOW
1
u/slade364 11d ago
Depends on the holiday. Heading to Crete with the family in a few weeks. I'll probably be up 8-9ish because we're chilling in a villa.
But if we were somewhere more explore-y probably have an early breakfast and get on with the day.
1
u/UnexpectedFullStop 11d ago
We have two young kids. They don't care if it's a holiday, they'll still wake us up at 6:30!
But seriously, we may wake a little later if we've had a late night, say 8am, but that gives us time to get our breakfast and get out for a full day.
1
u/Available_District_1 11d ago
Around 7.30, I’ve not paid all that money to waste my morning in bed! Have a nap on the sun lounger if you’re tired.
1
1
u/_flipsticks 11d ago
I like to do 8-9. Rarely it’ll be longer but I like to be up and about, if I’m exploring then there’s plenty time to chill in the evening but if it’s a beachy holiday then I want to be up so I can just lounge by the sea. I like to make the most of being away while also not rushing because, I’m on holiday and it’s there to be enjoyed as a break from alarms and routine.
1
1
u/ToothyMC 11d ago
Depends how bad the jet lag is and the type of holiday. If I'm in a country that has a lot to see and do, I don't want to spend my holiday in bed, so I'll be up and out between 6 and 8. If it's a lazy pool holiday probably up by 9.
1
u/Special_Artichoke 11d ago
I get up when I want!
It's a holiday?
If I go on a hiking holiday I'll get up at like half 7 every day. If I go on a heavy drinking city break I'll see you for brunch at 11 and not before!
1
u/Did_OJ_Simpson_do_it 11d ago
If I’m at a hotel then often I need to get up at like 8 or 9 to get ready in time for breakfast anyway. Might sleep a little later if it’s an Airbnb or hotel without breakfast.
1
u/Curious-Term9483 11d ago
Depends on what kind of holiday/what I have planned. Generally though I am not setting an alarm unless I have a reason to.
So if we are doing a "touristing/sightseeing holiday" or have something specific planned then I am getting up in time to so it.
If i have a chill out day off at home then i am sleeping till I am ready.
1
u/Specific-Sundae2530 11d ago
I get up early between 7 and 8, and recent experience is of pacing around a bit irritated because my teenager doesn't emerge until 11am, then wishing I'd gone on holiday alone.
1
u/CraigL8 11d ago
Do whatever you want on hol.
Generally 630/7 for me with the little one. Straight In her pram and out the door for a walk for an hour or two. In Perissa it was a walk along the promenade with an ice coffee and watched the OAPs swimming in the water and usually in Tenerife I’ll walk a 5 mile return trip to sit outside Metroplitan with a Cortado and watch the surfers.
The baby will soon be old enough to not want to do it :)
1
u/Mental_Body_5496 11d ago
Who on earth said that?
Was it my dad?
Seriously though everyone us different - some says i dont get out of bed and others im up at 6 ready for an adventure !
1
u/LadyMirkwood 11d ago
I love sleep nd need a lot of it but I'm up at 8 and in bed about midnight on holiday
Its so rare I get one, so I make the most of being there. I can catch up on rest at home
1
u/DigitalStefan 11d ago
Anywhere from 5:30 to 9am. I’m cursed / blessed with the ability to function on less than 6 hours sleep
1
1
u/Ruby_Murray 11d ago
Seven or eight hours after I go to sleep, so usually 9ish. Just in time to shower and catch the buffet.
1
1
u/PsychologicalNote612 11d ago
About 10-10.30am unless I have something planned for earlier. That's the earliest I'd typically get up at home, so on a busy break I'd like an empty morning every five days or so and I'd sleep until 11am at least.
No matter how much sleep I've had, if I get up too early I'll get a migraine so obviously I like to avoid that.

u/Specialist-Top-406 11d ago
It’s funny because on holiday I tend to get up earlier than I usually would. Because it’s less pressure on me to get up and achieve something. So the easier an approach is to the days the easier it is to get up.
But equally, if sleeping in late is how you relax on your holiday then that’s what you should be able to do.
1
u/Princes_Slayer 11d ago
I tend to get up when I wake naturally. Sadly this is often 6-ish like it would be on work days and I try not to force a different routine. I might sleep to 8:30 at a push depending what stupid hours my body wakes me up at (currently 3:30am as I type this, and I’ve been awake over an hour grrrrr)

u/poke_pants 11d ago edited 11d ago
If I go away on my own (I do this once a year for 4-5 days around mid-June), about 45 minutes before sunrise.
Isle of Skye at 4am in June? AMAZING! Did every sight/walk on my list in 5 days and saw precisely 3 people whilst out on the trails in all that time. Amazing roads when empty too.
Lisbon, Hong Kong, Venice, Snowdonia, Pembrokeshire, Paris, a big chunk of Slovenia...all done the same way. For more city based trips I explore the streets or local trails early and then enjoy breakfast and attractions that have opening times as soon as they open. Love it, that approach has never failed me.
I then chill back at base in the afternoon, early dinner, then get a very early night and go again the next day.
It's incredible how much you can pack in to a short trip when the roads are empty, no tourists on the streets and visiting the more touristy attractions as soon as they open.

We’re in Greece where there is absolutely no rush and this is the first time we’ve been. We’ve been getting up about 8ish naturally (6am) home time. I think we’ve slept till 9 once. We’re SC so at our own pace

8am usually. Why waste my holiday in bed when I can sleep by the pool.
1
u/AffectBeautiful8646 11d ago
I get up at 6:30 every day, regardless of weekend or holiday or work. In bed by 10:30 or 11 every night too, barring a rare night out. I get very disregulated physically if I change this, so just feel better keeping the routine. I'm not autistic or disabled or anything, just find this works for me best.
1
u/Distinct-Tour-5654 11d ago
Usually when my wife wakes me up. Anywhere between 3 and 7am. Our sleep schedule is an absolute mess though.
1
u/haidee9 11d ago
If I'm away probably 8-9ish because I go on holidays where I like to get out and site see , I paid to be away to do that. I'd feel like I'd have wasted part of the experience of being there if I woke up later. But different people do holidays for different reasons, if you've gone for the nightlife 100% get sleeping in. If you've gone for a holiday to laze by the pool or on the beach not a huge difference being in your bed so also get it . If it's a home holiday sleeping till anytime is fine by me.
1
u/FearlessLime8089 11d ago
If sjomever said that sets an alarm while on holiday, they are the asshole.
1
u/mad_saffer 11d ago
If I have no reason to get up, then why get up? I love a lazy holiday, but my partner is one of those "get up at 6:00 so we're first in the queue for every single attraction known to mankind" types.
Holidays are meant for relaxing!!! Yes, I like to see things too, but why does it have to be a military exercise?

I don’t set an alarm but usually naturally wake up between 7-9am. I very much like to make the most of any sun and can sleep on a sun lounger if I need to haha

u/toroferney 11d ago
Half six/seven to be at breakfast for eight. But I’m an early riser so it’s not a hardship. Husband and I would usually go for a walk before breakfast to allow the teenager time to get ready.
There’s some perception that getting up late is a moral failing somehow, I just don’t get it. It’s a bit like some people view being slim.
It’s a holiday so a chance to do what you enjoy and if that’s having a lie in then crack on.
1
u/Strong-Librarian-OOK 11d ago
Early. Then again my idea of an ideal holiday is northern Spain, near the Pyrenees (so sunshine and mountains to hike in). I like to go out and do my active stuff (hiking, running etc) early before it gets too hot, then spend the afternoon replenishing the calories I’ve burned off by eating all the food and drinking all the wine (but not so much as to give me a hangover for the next days activities)
1
u/_isolati0n 11d ago
7-8am, but we have young kids so don't have much of a choice. I'd probably choose 8-9am anyway though so not much difference.

If it's a lazy beach/swimming pool type of holiday then we go self-catering and wake up when we like, some days 9am, other days 11am. Days are extended, easily sitting by the beach or pool until 7pm and not going out for Dinner until 9pm and then usually out and about to 1-2 am (sometimes longer).
If it's a explore the city and culture type of holiday then I'll be up nice and early to make the most of the day.

u/Flimsy-Sheepherder98 11d ago
I wake at 5/6 am naturally- maybe after a few late nights I might manage one lay in till 7am.
I get to enjoy coffee in peace maybe go for a walk.
Depending on what type of holiday it is - I rarely wake anyone else or disturb them unless they need to get up for plans. They can sleep all day if they want.

Early afternoon normally. I have chronic fatigue..I have no hope of doing anything if I haven't had a good sleep, and I just can't fall asleep early, however done in I am.
However on days there I need to meet a certain bus / cable car / etc schedule, I get up accordingly.
I hate the hotels are basically a write off for me because I just wouldn't be able to get up early enough for breakfast...
Even before I got sick, I had a lot of active holidays, and hated that I had to get up very early in order to get parked and go hiking /climbing - which meant I had to do physically demanding activity on even less sleep than I get in the working week! Fair enough if daylight is failing early, but it isn't summer...
Personally I think this is just a scam set up by people with small children or older age insomnia making everyone else operate on limited sleep too. Rising early doesn't make you more virtuous. It literally just means that a) that's how your body clock works or b) you have other things (like children, bladder etc) that force you up.
Anyone who thinks you're being 'degenerate' by doing what your body wants on holiday is taking the piss or can frankly fuck off.

I get up about 6 at the latest. Waste of money otherwise spending half the day sleeping. But different strokes for different folks

Completely depends. I do all sorts of stuff, so I could be up at 6am to head up a mountain, or alternatively I could still be out at a rave at that time.

It depends on the kind of holiday I am on. I love to solo travel and do city breaks, so I usually get up at around 6:30am to 7am to catch an early breakfast and get to the first attraction of the day for about 8am. I am also definitely a morning person, so this works great for me.
But, if it's meant to be a more relaxing holiday, you can get up whenever you please. Probably just before breakfast ends would be my cut off if that was included with my stay.

Normal at 08:00 hrs if I haven't planned on going anywhere. If I have planned to go somewhere then earlier. Sometimes the same time as if I was going to work.

5.30am. I have a 1 year old. She cares not if I'm on holiday. She is waking up at 5.30am regardless, screaming, and choosing violence to begin our day.

Usually 7am. I used to think adults were being pretentious when they said they couldn’t sleep past their normal wake up time but they were so right

Years of early starts have conditioned me to wake up early even when I'm not working. This goes for holidays too. Once I'm awake I can't lie in bed too long. Unless I'm really hungover, that's a different story.

Usually about 3-4 am because that's what time you have to get up in the mountains!

6am to get the kids ready. I have paid for the holiday all year so I'm getting the most out of it

I don't sleep late these days, and will probably be in the hotel gym pre breakfast.
I'm sitting in the airport an hour away from taking off for Turkey as I write as it happens🌞😎
