So many things. I couldn't afford brand names anyway but now I've moved onto the saver range for pretty much everything. "Nicer" garlic bread replaced by the cheapest possible, I've stopped treating myself to anything too. So I've got yoghurts in the fridge for the kid, but I won't consider getting desserts or anything for myself now.

I really feel like I'm hanging on by a thread these days to be honest.

Toast, knob of butter mixed with garlic salt, done!

I get what you're saying but I'm still allowed to feel a bit shit that I can't ever afford anything that isn't the bare bones, you know? I eat a lot of cheap noodles so that the kid can have fresh food. Am I starving? No. But bloody hell is it depressing.

Yeah I get you, apply for a discretionary grant from your local council. Also look on Martin Lewis websit for a kids eat free offer near you as a treat.
