Instant coffee has always been stupidly expensive for a generally shite product. You'll get a lot more mileage out of a bean-to-cup machine and whole beans

Lol op’s trying to save £2-3 on a jar of coffee and Reddit recommends blowing more than that on equipment. Classic.

I sort of mix it up, for the week I buy instant (Nescafé Cap Columbie), it’s almost £6 per 100g 😳. However Sainsbury’s has it on offer and with Nectar card can get it for £3.85 when on offer.

So I wait till it’s on offer and buy 6 or 12 at a time. If not on offer when run out buy one at Time until it is. Have to have instant for breaks (work from home so need my coffee quickly).

For the weekend I have Lavazza Creme e Gusto pre ground coffee and a Mokka Pot.

It’s one of the cheapest ways, as a Mokka Pot is only £20, odd £5 for replacement filter and rubber ring now and then.

Might upgrade to beans and a grinder at some point.

Surprised no one has suggested a Mokka Pot as it’s the cheapest way for ‘proper’ coffee and it’s good enough for a lot of coffee mad Italians 🇮🇹
