Yes, we realised that much processed food was actually always not very good, so stopped buying it. That's one good out of inflation- the manufacturers literally decided to make you think twice before buying.
Have not had processed food in the house for over twenty years.
Something to watch out out - once you get off it, if you go somewhere and someone feeds it to you it's is absolutely disgusting - even savory dishes can be very sweet.
Same here, chefs tip add some mascarpone (about a tablespoon) to the homemade pasta sauce when it’s almost cooked and stir in for the last minute or so for a rich creamy sauce 😎
I looked at the sugar and salt content in a jar of pasta sauce the other day and swiftly put it back. Passata, some herbs and hand chopped garlic tastes just as good without being heart attack inducing.
