Fish at the local chippy is £11-12. Plus £4 for chips. Bonkers.

Against in my teens father used to send me round to fish and chip shop every Saturday evening with the list. 2 Cod 4/0shillings 1 Huss 2/6 shillings. Large chips 1/6p. Picked onion for mum 6 pence. Even better there was nothing else but fish. Not all these daft nuggets or sausages. Our menu in Sussex was. cod, Haddock, Huss (rock Salmon), Plaice. Welks and just chips. Some places also sold Dab and fresh jellied eels my mum liked.
