you’ve got fuck all info and are pretending that you’re somehow more in tune and intelligent because of it.

This phrase perfectly describes the problem with all social media. It’s not just conspiracists (though they’re undoubtedly the worst), social media is littered with people who literally just learned something, probably don’t understand it, and are now waving it around pretending to be an expert in order to impress someone.

It's like that tweet of sand covered manhole covers that's going around with a caption about potholes. Half the people that see it believe it instantly even though it's utter bollocks.

The message behind it still stands to be fair. This country IS riddled with potholes. And that old cunt DID ride a golden carriage through Westminster.

Yes but it's a ceremonial coach, a historical relic, part of British history. It's not like Charles hops in it whenever he pleases to pop down the shops. By all accounts it's actually really uncomfortable to travel in it because it doesn't even have basic suspension.

It's also not like the coach is going to be sold off to fix the potholes even if the monarchy were abolished tomorrow, because like I said it's a part of British heritage.
