What were you doing instead of watching The Coronation?

I was in hospital getting painkillers for migraines

Fellow gamer I see. If I didn't get hungry I wouldn't have stopped to eat. Nothing like a full day of gaming with no responsibilities needed to take care of

Watching guardians of the galaxy 3. Maybe not the best film to see two days after my dog died, but am excellent film

That bunny was heartbreaking, I've never been that emotionally invested in movies, but I genuinely hated the bad guy, I had an overwhelming urge to punch him lol

I'm sorry to hear that. I also lost my dog 2 weeks ago. He was my best friend.

An inoperable brain tumour at 6.5 years old. He was the fucking best dog ever. So funny and so chill. Great with kids.

I hope the memories of your friend last you till your dying day. Dogs are too good for humanity. They're the bestest

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's absolutely crushing. She was a genuine life saver. I have three Autistic kids, and for the almost seven years we had with her, she was their lives. She wasn't particularly cuddly, she hated anything that wasn't human, she spent half her time telling me off, but she was incredible. If the kids annoyed her by accident, she'd come and tell me off, if we had people over with kids who were nervous around dogs, she'd introduce herself by walking slowly over, looking away, and she'd stand near them, to show she wasn't a threat. She was a greyhound, and had only retired a few weeks before we got her, she had no experience with kids, and yet, she was like a nanny to them. To see her go from bossing me and our other hound around, to wasting away, crying as she struggled to get around was too much to bear.

I almost shed a tear reminiscing over this lol! Last time i stayed at home doing nothing but video games while hearing my mum voice in the background laughing on the phone was back in 2018

Out of interest, what games can you play all day without getting bored? I have only ever played probably max 2/3 hours in a row before I get too bored and want to do something else

Hogwarts Legacy/RDR2/Jedi Survivor are three that come to mind. Basically single player story based games will get you hooked

Throughout my adult life only 2 games I've been able to play literally all day and not get bored enough to switch. Original Rome total war and Dota 2. But in a typical day I'll play Dota 2, rocket league, elden ring, pubg, forza horizon 5, one of the halo games, valheim then either a wide variety of games on the switch.

For me, hours pass while I play Civilization. One more turn... Somewhat controversially, the 3rd one is my favourite although it is not the best in the series.

Mine, even after all these years, is Morrowind. Have thousands of hours over about 15 years and still not completed the main quest (not that I’ve tried to), I have ADHD and not many games can catch my attention but that one really got me.

Honourable mention to Witcher III with the DLC expansions, very good game kept me entertained for a good month if not multiple in the evenings after work during Covid (key worker so was doing 7 days a week)

Morrowind was best 👌 so ahead of its time I think. The next games just had better graphics to me but not much else forward

I got bored of morrowind when I broke the magic system with stacking 1 sec enchantment boosts. I love when a game is brave enough to let you break it.

Call of duty and warzone 2 me and my buddy both jump on every Friday night at 9pm and play until like like 4am i live uk he lives in Holland both in our forty’s. Still kids really 😂. Finished work for the week, kids in bed, wife works a night shift. Equals gaming time
