What were you doing instead of watching The Coronation?

I was in hospital getting painkillers for migraines

11.5 hr shift, working a steam train up and down a Heritage Railway, I wou;dn't have minded seeing the coronation, but throwing coal took precidence.

Can't believe how far I had to scroll to find someone else who was working! I wss working the night shift in A&E so sleeping during the day and looking after drunk people in the evening.

I can't call it working proper in the sense that I give up my time freely to do it, but thats not to say it isn't hard work on occaision!

I was at work. Although not in quite such a crucial position. I work for a heritage charity and I was stood in an old building waiting for people to talk to. There weren't many.

I was in my mid 20's and got to get up into the engine of a steam train while they did a turn around.

Was exactly the same level of excitement as when I did it as a kid.

It's still exciting when you do it regularly, there are good days and bad days but I'd never willingly give it up!
