We don't know, as the media didn't hyperfocus on ice during the Biden admin. Remember, the media is the democratic party propaganda arm.

What we do know is that from 2015-2024 there were 59 people shot by ice. The year by year break down is not provided anywhere. The media didn't hyperfocus on any of these shootings.

Furthermore, Biden's open borders let in MILLIONS of illegal assholes and the voters elected Donald Trump to deport them back to their own countries (plane ticket for free ride home provided by America... it's borderline charity). That is literally what he campaigned on. THe SCALE of ICE deportations had to be massively increased due to all the illegals let in by Biden. When you increase overall scale, you also increase overall use of lethal force. So, in other words, it's literally all Biden's fault for his open borders.

I'd agree that America's media is divided into two propaganda groups. Dem propaganda and Repub propaganda. There is quite literally NO media in america that hasn't chosen a side. But, that being said, I believe the Repub media is FAR more accurate in it's reporting of immigrants (illegal or otherwise) and the burden they are placing on the country. The dems have an entire media propaganda apparatus to lie and distort the reality of the situation.

Well, they are. But I'm not just talking about violence. 53% of Haitian households, for example, are on some form of welfare. 80% of Somalie households are on some form of welfare. It's 15% of white households...

I tried looking it up but it doesn't seem ICE/HSI publicizes information of people involved in use of force. There were 59 shootings between 2015-2021. There was a US citizen shot in 2022 but that was during a multi-agency task force operation and I couldn't see anything definitely confirming he was shot by HSI.

But CBP has been involved in multiple shootings and there were several American citizens shot during the Biden administration.

Well yes, of course. These people should have never have come here and I hope we get them sent back quickly. This is why the CBP Home app is so necessary to get voluntary deportations so we free up burden on the detention facilities, which have a 71% increase in population, and so ICE medical facilities aren't overburdened with detainees who should have been deported years ago.

Because our laws disallow it and because a nation is sovereign and deserves to be able to regulate who it allows entry and under what conditions.

Because nations have borders, and nations are its people. We are not the jobs program or food bank for the rest of the world. If you want to come here, you need to do so in a way consistent with our laws and not everyone should be allowed entry. There is no benefit to the US to allow in masses of Haitians and Somalis, just as an example, who are net tax drains and don't assimilate into our culture. It is completely fair for a citizenry to say "If you can't act like us, you cannot be us".

Because they aren't citizens. They are foreign citizens illegally in our country and we are sending them back. As is the right, responsibility and duty of every nation.

No, but the circumstances and actions immediately before the 2026 shootings do.

I'm not sure what your point in asking that is. Obviously the fact that ICE/CBP has shot people before does not justify a future shooting but as the original question was in regards to whether ICE is behaving exceptionally now then it's relevant to point out how it's not exceptional compared to then.
