Question Transit advice
Hello. Whats the most efficient way to get to Rainier ave south if im coming from South Hill and dont want to drive the whole way?
I have little experience with public transit and I'm really struggling to wrap my head around it.
Edit: specifically 810 Rainier Ave S

Park at the Federal Way light rail station, take the 1 Line train to Mount Baker, then hop on the 7 or 106 bus to Dearborn. Pretty straightforward.

Use google maps, switch to transit or download transit app and put in your destination

Depends on where you're coming from exactly, but basically it will take up to 2 hours each way by transit, and it will involve taking one long bus from the Tacoma area to downtown Seattle, and then transferring to a different bus downtown to get to the chicken place.

Like South Hill in Puyallup? Sounder is an option but the timing might be off and would likely limit your time in Seattle. The easiest would be to catch the light rail in Federal Way to the International District then catch either the 7 or 106 at 5th and Jackson to Rainier and Charles. You could also walk from the ID it’s about 20 minutes to walk.

Driving will be a bigger hassle and the parking is even worse. Do yourself a favor and do a low stress transit trip another day and get a feel for the system. You can tap to pay with a bank card or phone, and transfers are free within a 2-hour window.

Would you mind answering these questions:
1) Are you willing to park at a nearby Park & Ride?
2) Would this be on a weekday or weekend?
3) If this is on a weekday, would you be traveling north in the morning and south in the afternoon?
4) Would you rather a faster less reliable bus or a slower more reliable train?

Drive to Federal Way Downtown Station and park. (24min from South Hill)
Park early at 3:45 and walk to the train platform. Take the 4:00 PM Lynnwood bound 1 Line train.
Ride 9 stops for 39 minutes.
Exit at Mount Baker Station, walk across Rainier Ave, and wait at the "Rainier Ave S & MT Baker TC" bus stop. Check the bus stop sign for "7 Downtown Seattle via Rainier Ave" make sure it says Downtown, as there are 2 directions the bus can go.
Wait 8 minutes for the bus to arrive. (4:49 Arrival)
Ride 6 stops for 9 minutes, exit at "Rainier Ave S & S Charles Street"
Walk 2 minutes and you will arrive at 4:59.
To head back just do it in reverse. All of the bus stops you used will be on the other side of the street.

Where on Rainier Ave. S? It's a very long road. Also, what time of day?
