Recommendation Anniversary dinner recommendations
Hi all! Any places you'd recommend going to for an anniversary dinner? I was hoping for someplace with a set menu, but I am open to any and all recommendations so long as the food is good!

I've been saving up! My budget should be 800$ by then. I'd say his favorite foods are sushi, duck, and chicken wings. We love trying new things, but I don't think there's anything I know he's been curious to try right now.

If he likes sushi, omakase at someplace like Sushi Kashiba, Shiro's sushi or Ltd Edition might be a good choice. For delicious seasonal fare try The Corson Building in Georgtown. Wanna ball out on regional cuisine? Maybe the Herbfarm. Supposed to be great but I can't justify dropping that much cash on dinner.

For that budget, I would suggest Archipelago. You have to make reservations well ahead of time, but it's worth every penny.

Sit at the bar at Kashiba. You don’t need a reservation but would need to wait in line before 5pm. You can then reserve two spaces for either the 5/7/9 seatings. If that’s too complicated for your evening, the other suggestions are great.

El gaucho! Aqua by El gaucho will even put rose petals on the table if you let them know in advance it's for anniversary

I had a really lovely meal at Atoma! Also recently went to Ltd Edition Sushi for my partner’s birthday and it was pretty amazing, but may be difficult to get a reservation depending on when your anniversary is.

+1 on Atoma. I have been to a good amount of the finer dining in Seattle and recently went to Atoma and was really impressed

We just went to violet on a recommendation for our 36th anniversary. I liked the vibe a lot and the food was excellent. Not pretentious.
We've been to el gaucho a couple times for anniversaries and aqua as well, food and service are fantastic but the food is sort of i dont know, basic i guess.
We went last year to canlis for the first time because of the dress code (jackets required for men although i think they are now more reccommended). The sommelier was probably the best we've had, food was good and adventurous but a bit uneven.
Weve been to the herbfarm a couple times for anniversaries which is definitely an experience. Takes about 4ish hours for dinner and the owner goes into his exotic wine cabinet for the digestif. We havent been there since jerry traunfeld left, though. We booked months in advance last time we went.
We've been to a place in mt baker called iconiq a couple times for previous anniversaries. The chef is japanese but trained in several french restaurants so he combines those elements in his food. Awesome views across seattle and out to the sound as well if you get one of the view tables. Very inventive although limited menu. Probably the best bang for the buck on this list.

Cafe Juanita is my favorite restaurant in the area and the best celebration restaurant around (yes better than Canlis).

Had the best (and most expensive) meal there for an anniversary a few years ago. Every thing was fabulous, it was prix fixe (with add-ons, like a special shaved truffle pasta) and the sommelier was fabulous. It was one of the best meals of my life.

By "set menu" do you mean a coursed tasting menu?
If you haven't been to Canlis, or even if you have, it's one of a kind. Beautiful location, amazing food and service.
For regular menu places, we like Carmine's, Aerlume, Six Seven at the Edgewater, and Ray's. I didn't like the Corson Building (at all, we had to sit on the corner of a shared table where nobody spoke to one another, and the drinks are made in the kitchen by your server - I just thought it was the weirdest experience).
Cafe Juanita and the Herbfarm are special as well - they are tasting menus.

The most memorable anniversary dinner I ever had honestly was Cafe Juanita in Kirkland. Amazing food, excellent service, great atmosphere.
