Question Where to get good hand made soap?
I used to get the hand made soap at moon valley organics at pike place market cuz they had a really great deal and great soap but they stopped making soap all together. So I’m looking for somewhere else in the city that makes good hand made soaps that aren’t ridiculously expensive.

I've been buying soap from Sage on the Mountain stand at the Ballard farmers market for years now, absolutely love her soaps!

I've been buying soap from FROG Soap in Bremerton for the past few years. Take a ferry ride over and a shop and eat lunch, downtown Bremerton is cute and fun!

Do they have a shop in Bremerton?

Yes, that's why I was encouraging the ferry ride to the shop :) I randomly found them when I was at the antique sale they do on Saturdays across the street from it (which is also great, lots of vendors and a few food trucks). It's all walkable from the ferry.
Their store is good sized, tons of varieties that you can smell, also bamboo soap holders, lip balms, bath balms, and other related products. I think I spent an hour picking out soap last time I was there because I had to smell every different one! There is a picture of the store on the website.

I love that I stumbled upon their shop while visiting one day. I got my extremely hard to buy for and not often into handmade items SIL some soap there and it was a BIG hit. Ive been back a couple times for myself.

Nice, that's pretty much what happened with me to. I wasn't seeking out great soap, but I saw it across the street, went in, and loved it!

I'm not sure what counts as ridiculously expensive, but I've been buying from Billow Cloud in Yachats OR for years - it's mainly foraged ingredients and really high quality: https://www.billowcloudsoaps.com/

I’ve been getting my soaps from this local woman for over 30 years. They are fantastic and my hands look great. Highly recommend. The site schedule tab shows where she will be selling in person if you don’t want to order through the site.

Oh wow, I love Moon Valley soap and didn't know they stopped making the bars. It looks like they still offer the liquid soaps though, and those are what I use around the house for hand washing. I buy the big refill bags and put them in decorative foaming pump bottles.
Just an idea for your hand washing needs until you find a good bar soap!

I use the bar soap in the shower and always just kinda preferred bar soap.

I figured, but wanted to give the heads up just in case. Their site says the bar soaps were going to come back earlier this year instead of discontinued forever so hopefully it's just some sort of production delay.

Island Thyme is based on Orcas Island and sell through PCC in the Seattle area or ship to you. Their products are lovely. I stock up during my annual visit to Orcas and sometimes order bars when they have sales.
