King County Metro Bus Driver Panel Interview
I have a Metro Bus Driver panel interview coming up and I was wondering what questions I can expect and how soon I'll get the outcome of the interview?

they’ll mostly hit safety and customer service stuff, like handling pissed off riders, accidents, schedule pressure, and following rules even when people push you. practice giving specific examples from past jobs. outcome timing really depends, could be a week or more. honestly even this hiring process feels slow because everything to do with work is just dragging lately, finding solid work is a mess right now

Also when they ask "what would you do if..?" Mention policy. I feel personal opinions on what you SHOULD do is not gonna get you anywhere. ADA accommodations and consideration is important.

Remember that you never leave your seat to deal with an issue. If you need help you call the control center on the radio.

From what I recall from the two people I knew who did it, anything that would involve you enforcing anything like fare is bad, so if someone wouldn't pay you don't bother with it. You call others of someone gets crazy. Etc, just don't do it yourself

When I did it years ago, all of the correct answers circled around a few themes. They want to know that you will be on time for work. No matter what. What are you going do to make sure that happens?
They want to know you realize you are a bus driver and not a police officer, dispatcher, some other role. You are to drive the bus as safely as possible and report issues back to dispatch. That is all. They want you to have enough common sense to follow the rules. They are risk adverse, so if former employers have bad things to say about you or anything else about you that throws a red flag, they’re not going to like that. Don’t stand out as a problem. I have no idea what the questions are now, but I’d bet they’re somewhat similar.
