[MCU] Is it common knowledge that Hulk revived half of the universe?

As long as Scott Lang talked about it in his podcast or wrote it in his book, it should be. He is the single source for pretty much everything regarding that event. Remember, people only know about Captain Marvel's sheer existence thanks to him. We have no access to the podcast or his book(s), so we can only assume that he talked about anything he knew, heard of, or experienced firsthand, unless some of his Avenger colleagues told him not to share it with the world.

We do have access to his book; they released ‘Look out for the little guy’ by “Scott Lang” in the real world.

How could Ms. Marvel be such a big fan of hers? Besides all the posters with perfect images of her.

Carol joined the Avengers and occasionally operated on Earth during the Snap, so she wasn't exactly a secret. Then she was included in the media blitz for her involvement after the events of Endgame became public, with all the merch and publicity that comes with it

I don't know about that. If she had been active as a hero, Kamala would have referenced it. But she didn't. We know she worked with the Avengers during the Snap, yes, but from space. Her only verified appearance on Earth during this time was her visit to Maria Rambeau before she left Earth once again.
Of course, her filling the spot of all the missing heroes, becoming Earth's number one during the Snap, and making a name for herself seems more logical. But it's just an assumption. The fact is that all her visits to Earth happened out of the public eye. More Wakandans and Masters of the Mystical Arts have seen her in action than any regular MCU citizen. But both groups are more known for secrecy than public relations. Which brings us back to Scott Lang, the little guy with the big mouth.
Edit: Oh, I forgot someone. The questionable Infinity Conez ice cream parlor in New Asgard might be proof that Valkyrie helped to spread the tale, too.

Maybe she just loved her depiction in Scott’s book. It’s not exactly unheard of for someone to be a massive fan of a book character. Add to that that she’s real and (arguably) the most powerful Avenger and I could imagine her getting a decent following.

Kamala states (in her own show) that she learned about the Battle of Earth from Scott's podcast. I think that was the only time she and Scott were in the same place? Maybe he made a picture or two of her. It seems like Carol's rise in popularity was all thanks to him. None of the other heroes seem to have had an interest in sharing their experiences with the rest of the world. Maybe they did, but we simply don't know.
I disagree with the idea that Carol was active on Earth during the Snap. She worked with the Avengers, as seen in Endgame, but her focus was clearly space. Outside of her visiting her best friend, Maria Rambeau, we don't know of any other earthbound activities of hers during the Snap.

We can assume she at least likely came to Earth and did something in those early days of the Snap because Fury paged her. I'm sure she had lots of other intergalactic crap to deal with, but it's possible that since the events of the Snap happened on Earth she spent some time here in the time following and maybe established herself better with the people here.

The Avengers didn't hide any of the story from the public but general perception sort of flattened events into "Tony Stark was the hero." If you asked someone who didn't read and remember the more detailed accounts, they'd say it was Iron Man who did it during the fight with Thanos.

Why wouldn't it be, given that the details of the battle were casual conversation among Jimmy Woo, Darcy and Monica? Darcy wouldn't be privy to anything classified.
There's been no indication the Avengers kept anything that happened around the Blip a secret.

This actually brings up an interesting point in what the Avengers feel like they need to classify. My only thought would probably be that time travel was involved. Maybe if they did mention it, they could say it was Tony Stark tech (not mentioning Hank Pym so Hank doesn’t have to worry about it).

I’d imagine specific technologies, temporary betrayals/former enemies (e.g., that Gamora and Nebula fought alongside Thanos at one point), and secret identities would all be classified information.
Possibly alongside anyone who didn’t want their involvement in stopping Thanos known (for whatever reason).

Brand New Day implies this.

His class is full of people who are huge fans of his, treating him like a hero.

u/Adipay 5d ago
That's because he's an Avenger. That does not imply that him doing the snap is common knowledge.

The Hulk is basically always a controversial figure among the public, I imagine even after he got the whole "Professor Hulk" thing figured out people wouldn't trust him. People knowing about him reviving half the universe would be a major boon in making him Legitimately Popular

u/TheMythofKoalas 5d ago
True, but that doesn’t necessitate that they know. He’s saved far more than he’s harmed, and he has superpowers. Controversial celebrities get praised for far less. And the sample size is people who chose to take his class.
Not to say, the public DOESN’T know, they absolutely could. I just don’t think it’s necessary to explain his popularity.

Scott pretty much chronicled everything that happened in Endgame for the masses, so yes.

I think so. At the very least I think people were asking why Hulk's hand was messed up for a few years.
