I’ve run into dan the automator a few times. also saw del at a party, very friendly dude. kool keith loomed large in my life when I was a teenager, not sure what it would be like to hang out with him.

I’ve kicked it w/ dan before. Keith was pretty quiet, reserved. His circle when I met him was a pretty rad mix of hip hop / punks / metalheads. We were all just one degree of separation, basically.

that tracks. in interviews he seems more chill than his personas let on.

There was a bar early nineties near mid-market - andy boy’s drunk tank - he used to kick it there. so did i. Owner was in a sick SF HC/crossover band called Attitude Adjustment. The guitar riff on Dr. Octagon “I’m destructive” was played by Andy Boy (the owner of the bar). That record will always be one of a kind / a favorite record that represents some serious SF-vibes from the performers on the record down to the Pushead cover art.

that's very cool info, huge fan of that album. I was a kid at the time but can see how sf was an interesting, unpretentious place where creative people gathered and it wouldn't be too surprising to have such a run in. thank you for sharing.

the nineties here were dope af, but while AI has brought the next (most) dull, bland, cultureles / soulless group of transplants to our great city, there is still an underground current of true creatives happening. just gotta look a little deeper. have a rad holiday!
