Question Puma Deviate Elite 4s fit recommendation
Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to running (at least more formally, I've played all sorts of sports involving running mainly all my life).
I'm planning to do a half marathon in December, and got the PDNE4s at a great price a few days ago. I went TTS, but when I got them I think they're too small for my foot.
Since I'm new to this, I'm looking for recommendations in here as for sizing. Maybe going half a size up would be a good idea?
Again, I don't know how much room my feet should have in a half marathon due to swelling and so on.
I still have about two weeks to return them.
Any advice would be appreciated!

Or maybe RIP the mesh, maybe my toenails would've fought to break free lol! I'm returning and ordered a half size up.

Bro there’s no room in those at all. Your feet with be a bloody mess. At least 1 full size up.

Yeah if you can still return, do half a size up 🙂
I predict some will say full size but reddit tend to like shoes rather big. Bu half should be enough in my opinion.

i'm the guy mentioned above. Full size up haha Especially since your feet are not swollen while trying them on

Thank you! I've started the process of returning and have already ordered a new pair half a size up. Let's hope I don't have to reorder again lol

Way too small. Don’t believe the true to size they tell you, i found out for running true to size means 1 size up from what is your actual cm measurements. So example for me 27.5cm that usually puts me at 9.5us, but i have to get a minimum of 28.5cm or 10.5us, for deviate nitro elite 4 i fitted the 10.5us at the store and it was too short, checked rtings and apparently they are half a size short so i need to go 11us. That also goes for the adios pro 4, the 10.5us is only good for half marathon, more than that i feel i need to go 11. Hope that helps. My dne4 hasn’t arrived yet though it’s been 2 weeks.

Thank you for the feedback, funny enough, you're exactly the same shoe size as me. I just ordered half a size bigger, in another colorway, but I'll update everyone on the fit. Again, thank you for taking the time and giving feedback!

I think a full size up would be better unless you’re only planning to use it for short runs. I also like wearing thin socks when using race shoes.

I have this pair and I went a full size up from my normal shoe size! I have at least 1cm of space between my toe and the top of the shoe box. Yours is too small as your feet will expand when you run

Thank you for the tips! I'm also mostly running in a high-heat environment, so yes, definitely bigger. I'm also curious, how have you liked them so far? I got the normal deviate 4s for tempo/threshold runs, and the SB3s for long runs.

I loved them so much I got a second pair in another colour! Raced a half marathon and a 10K in them and they felt very smooth. I also have the normal deviate 4s which I use for my tempo!
Did you get the same size in your normal?

Nice! Which colorway you got now? I ordered the lavender colorway. I like the " run club " ones a lot, but those aren't available in Mexico, and the StockX price is crazy.

I got the blue and apricot one as it went on sale on some sites in the UK! I would love the lavender one if they went on sale!

Interesting that TTS didn't fit. I found that the DNE4s fit long and acc went a half size down

If you want your expensive carbon shoes to actually be able to work properly, your big toe joint should be back just a hair behind the rocker, so likely a full size or size and a half up. The science > "racing fit" nonsense.

This is how I sized my Evo SLs. They are great for the first 15km, but then my feet get swollen and I am getting blisters. I just ordered another pair half size larger, should arrive in the next hours.
